Hello cousin Cliff

Yes Cliff, We are family. Your grandfather Adolf and my father John were brothers. Your dad John and I are first cousins. I am the second of 6 children of John and Gezina and grew up in western Michigan. When we were kids we yearly went to Cleveland and did have contact with your dad and grandparents. My dad was the last of his family to survive and died two years ago. Its sad, but the family seems to have grown apart over the years. I have gotten to know cousin Mel, have met Ray a few times, and I talked to your dad shortly after his accident. One of my goals during retirement is to look up some of our family out there. We have lived in upstate New York for the last 40 years. Drop us a line on our e mail address and we can talk more. Respectfully Phil Entingh

Hi Mark, I'm your dad's younger cousin. It's so neat reading about you. You are a musician. Tell me more. I have a daughter and 5 sons. My son's names and ages are 1)Justin-20 a mechanical engineering junior at Cedarville University, 2)Brent 19 a high school senior. Guess what? He wants to do web designing like you. 3) Scott - 18 a high school senior also - co-hosts a weekend radio show and wants to be a pastor. 4)Quentin 16 - has a lawn business in the summer, and 5)Douglas-our 12 year old. I homeschool him. All my boys are runners--cross country and track. They're great guys and real handsome like you. Tell your Dad I said "Hi." I knew of his divorce from your mom and I was sad. Tell your Dad I miss him and my sisters and I will pray for him when we get together next. We get together once in a while early Sat. morning to pray for our family. I'm so excited that I got to meet you! Love, Your second cousin

Dear Mr. Entingh,

I noticed your posting looking for relatives. My name is also Entingh, Daniel J. Strangely enough my father also was named John and died about two years ago. Do you think we might be related?

Incidentally, I have one child, a daughter, Amelia Entingh. I am very proud of her because about two weeks ago, on Sept. 14 she passed her Ph.D. dissertation exam at VanderBilt Univ., Nashville, and is now Dr. Amelia Entingh. What do you think of that?

Regards,
Dan
