Here's an email I received today that might have some information on Sarah Entler:

I got this information from a book called "On this Rock: The Story of St. Peter's Luthren Church, Sheperdstown, WV" It lists a Michael Endler. I wonder, is Entler and Endler the same. Because I saw listed as births/christenings a Sarah born to Phillip and Anna Marie Barbara Endler. And I have looked through all the pages and their are no Entlers. It is also in German. Do you know if there is a translation? If you need more names, let me know and when I go back to the LDS Geneology Library, I'll look the info up for you. Have to go. Will look up Michael Endler's info and send it to you when I get back. >>
Hello, (I didn't see your name in the email you sent me)
Yes, Endler and Entler are the same. I've seen references to Entlers as Endler. One of the books I have "History of Shepherdstown" has a footnote that the Entler name was originally Endler and before that perhaps it was Andler.
I have two Michel Entler/Endlers. One is Michel born 12/6/1696 and married to Anna Catrina [last name unknown). Michel had a son named Phillip Adam Entler (I refer to him as "Senior" since this Phillip has a son named Phillip Adam as well). My descendency is through Phillip Adam Sr, and his son Phillip Adam Jr (born 8/15/1754). Phillip Sr had another son named Michael Endler/Entler (born 1740). Interestingly, Phillip Sr had a different son also named Phillip Endler/Entler (confusing huh!) That Phillip is listed as born 12/2/1746 - perhap this first Phillip "Jr" died young and his parents named a future son after him and therefore comes my Phillip "Jr".
My Phillip Jr was married to Catherine Welsh and I do not have a Sarah listed as a child. Do you have a birth or christening date for Sarah? Or perhaps a birthdate for one of her parents?
I would be interested in knowing where you got the book you mentioned and what other information it might have on the Endlers/Entlers/Andlers.
Thanks, Karen Cooke
