Mary, wife of Samuel Entrekin, made a tapestry called a PA sampler, which recently sold at an auction for $40,000. On it were all the birthdates of their children. If interested contact me for the info.

Sarah Entriken w/o Samuel Hopkins - Chester & Lancaster Co PA

On behalf of Hildegard Hopkins, I am searching for information on SARAH
ENTRIKEN and her husband SAMUEL HOPKINS married in West Chester, PA 15
December 1802. Samuel said to be the father of Joseph Hopkins of West
Chester PA and Jefferson City, MO. Samuel & Sarah found in the
Marietta, Lancaster Co PA censuses. Samuel born c.1776 died in 1871, Sarah died
1869. There is an abstract 1811 will for a Samuel Entriken in East
Bradford, but no mention of a daughter. There was an Ezekiel Hopkins s/o
William mentioned in his 1768 will. The 1800 census shows some Hopkins in
Oxford & East Bradford. Would be interested to learn the parentage and
siblings of Samuel & Sarah (Entriken) Hopkins. Am trying to confirm if
the above Joseph (wife Frances) is a son of Samuel & Sarah and then, if
so, go further back from there. Don't think there's been any work done
on the supposed Entriken connection, except by one Hopkins researcher,
but the censuses do show Samuel & Sarah together. Joseph, if he is a
son of Samuel and Sarah, married and in Indiana by 1850 with a wife
and children.

My Name is Tom Rivers and I am the son of the late Kathryn Entrikin Rivers younger sister of Harry Entrikin that you are referring to in your message,there are a bunch of us in this quarter of Geo. Entrikin and Ona Griffith Entrikin family.
Evelyn the # 2 child married late at the age of 58 and Marian
the#3 child married George Toby and had One son named Duke whois now deceased but He had 2 kids and my Mother had 5 kids,the oldest born in 1923 passed away in 29 and I was born in 1933.

I have allof the info on this family.....You are right about Harrys 3 kids ,the oldest died in ww2

Searching for stats of Mary Eloise Entrikin, born ca 1919 in Nortonville, Morgan Co., Illinois. She was the daughter of Charles Wilson Entrikin and his wife Stella Norton. Mary Louise married 1937 to Sam Hacker and had one son, Jan Hacker. Sam remarried in 1944, so probably he and Mary Eloise divorced? If that's the case, she probably remarried as well. Do you have a Harry Entrikin married to a Edna Beerup in your family? This Entrikin family was living in Omaha, Nebraska in the 1920 census. In 1930 census he was married to Edna Beerup and they lived in Minneapolis. They had three children in the 1930 census, John M. Norma and George. Harry was born 19 Jan 1891 and died May 1976. We are researching the Beerup family which is related to a Schmidt family.

mary, haven't found anything yet. but have several places to look. now that the busy stuff is winding down i will have more time. we might have to try some other dates to, so get as much info as you can together, even from the old country. that will come in handy, it will make it easier to know if we have the right people. talk to you later and happy new year!

becky, in reply to your message of 2001, searching for your grandfather wilbur m. entrikin. if you are still out there please contact me. we just found out 1 year ago that your mother might be our sister! we would love to know our sister and her family. we also have an older brother that just found us, our grandmother made our mother give him up at age 15, she met and married our father 2 years later.

James Entrican Family

Am trying to trace a James Entrican born in PA'
Later moved to Indiana and married a Sarah Hedden,
who was from NJ.
They had a daughter Sarah born Feb. 1840. Their daughter Sarah
married a James Saxton about 1859 and they moved to St. Louis.

Tom, we had descendants of a George Entrikin, b. 1785 move from PA to IL to NE and also descendants of his brother Samuel who moved to the same areas. If you know the name of the father of your George I might be able to find him or the name of one of the early descendants in MN might help.

I have a George C. M. Entrekin b. 1675 (don't know where) died Mar 1952 in Lyons, NE. I do not have a wife or children for him. That is as close as I can come.
Mary Entrikin Porter wrote a manuscript on the George Entrikin family and descendants. It was never published as a book. I wrote a book on all of the lines of Entrekin, Enterkin, Entrikin, Entrican, etc., that I could find. Contains a history of the family going back to Scotland circa 1650 and has a listing of names by major branch of the family (about 8000 names altogether). I included a condensed version of what Mary wrote on the Entrikin family as a chapter. By the way, the George C.M. Entrekin descends from Samuel.

My G-Father, George McClellan Entrikin, b.
circa 1860's is where I am stumped, if you have a George and Samuel that were in the places that you say then they are probably my ancestors.
Are you the one that wrote the book on the Entrikins?or do know of such a book?I would love to have the info on your George and Samuel and what ever else that you might have on this line, I am going to call my cousin in Mn. again and pick his brain.

I have no other information about these as they are not my line. I hope this will help someone.

I am pretty sure I have your Lucy Seymour Entrikin in my database. She was born in 1892 and died in 1959. Her parents were George Washington Entrikin and Mary Abigail Walker.

Wilbur Morse Entrikin wa b. 1910 and married Pansy Fowler.
Their children are: Bennie Lou, Delores Ann, Dale Morse, Jenny Harriet, Wilbur Leroy b. 1945, Jimmy Don, Roger Dean, Robert Eugene, Nedra Leona, Dora Beam and John Clifton. Any of that fit?
