The decendents with this name all came from Alsace in France the name is spelled many different ways - Ensminger, ensmings, Ensmingen, Einssminger, Einsminger, Entzminger, Ansminger, Hansminger, Eslminger, Elsminger and even Minger! The name of the town was Insming and according to Raymond M Bell who researched this family for 50 years, this is the only place in the world where the name came from.
