looking for family

I am searching for my father's family. His name was James Carl Entsminger (b. 23 Nov 1920 d. Jan 17 2000). His father was Henry Edward Entsminger (b. 1883 d. 1958). His mother was Cora Elizabeth Entsminger (b. 1894 d. 1970). My father had 2 sisters (Anna Ruth and Elizabeth Pauline) and 4 brothers (Edward Paul, Thomas Earl and 2 still living). This is all the info I have and am looking for any info on my ancesters. Thanks.

Spelling of names

The decendents with this name all came from Alsace in France the name is spelled many different ways - Ensminger, ensmings, Ensmingen, Einssminger, Einsminger, Entzminger, Ansminger, Hansminger, Eslminger, Elsminger and even Minger! The name of the town was Insming and according to Raymond M Bell who researched this family for 50 years, this is the only place in the world where the name came from. Looking for info on Abigail SEARLS and her husband, Joseph ENTSMINGER. They were md in 1865 Gallia co Ohio. In 1880, they were living in Putnam Co WVa with their children: Viola Belle, Harriet, Charles, Wm Perry, Emmet J, & George Arthur. Elizabeth ENTSMENGER was born about 1830 in Rockbidge Co., WVA. By her first marriage, date unknown, she had one son, Perry TUCKER born about 1851.

Her 2nd marriage to William G. PURCELL occured before 1863. They may have married in Iowa but if they did, they soon moved to Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri, where their first child, Wilson Monroe PURCELL was born in 1863. Their other children were: Lorenzo (Gabe), Squire (Scrap), Samuel, Rosa, Arthur, and Julia.

Elizabeth died April 19, 1884 in Nodaway Co., Missouri.

I have been unable to find any information on this lovely lady. Can someone help me out?
