Ida was adopted by Edwin Edward Snare and Nellie J Brown Snare. I would love to see what information you have. I am Ida's great granddaughter on the Duryea side. If you write me directly I can send you a link to my tree on this line. There is over 3000 names on it.

Ida Madeline Entwhistle was born in 1871 in Cumberland County, NJ. Her father was born in Ireland and her mother was born in England. Her parents died in a flu epidemic when she was about 10 years old and some people with the name Snare adopted her. Later she married Harley Lynn Duryea and they make their home in Kansas, as that is where the children are born. She died in 1935 Independence, Montgomery, KS.
I don't know where she married or where her adoptive parents lived, but its possible the place was around Woodford, IL. I'd like to find Ida's parents names or siblings names. This is all I have on her. It's a major brick wall for me. Thanks. Debbie ddshasta@hotmail.com

Does anyone have any information on this couple?
Myrtle was born in 1889 (to Joseph Grant and Harriett Clark Linn) and died in 1977 . Acquila was born in 1877 and died in 1953. I believe they are buried in Chatsworth, IL.

Does anyone have any information on this couple? They may have lived in Chatsworth, IL. I have a picture which I assume is a marriage picture and am thinking they may be connected to Acquila and Myrtle Harriett Linn Entwhistle.

Alice Entwhistle, 96, Sunset Manor Nursing Home, Canton, Ill., formerly of Morrison, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at the home.

She was born Sept. 12, 1907, in Morrison, to George Washington and Caroline Steiner Entwhistle.

She had been a high school science and math teacher.
Survivors (and spouses) are her niece, Judy (Kenneth) Reinhart, Morrison; nephews, George E. Entwhistle, Iowa City, Iowa, James J. Entwhistle, West Liberty, Iowa; five great-nephews; two great-nieces; and one great-great-niece. She was preceded in death by sisters, Verle and Ellen, and brothers, George, Elmer and Wilson Entwhistle.

Burial is in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

I have one ENTWISTLE in my data base. Her name was Ethel and she md Howard McKay. Howard was b and d in Kankakee Co., Illinois. I do not have any other info on her at all. But thought you might put that info to some use yourself. God luck and God Bless America
