Entwisle: germanic descent; derived from the word henta twisla: they who live at the bend/fork of river of the ducks. Traced back to the 4th century A.D. Registered as a family of antiquity in England. Related by blood and marriage to the royal houses of Bolingbrokes and Bourbons. Loyalists Lancastrian(Red Rose)during the War of the Roses; Sir Bertine Entwisle, Knight,Viscount and Baron by birth Bailiff(Chief Judge)of Lancastershire by marriage to the daughter of Sir John Ashton. Rumoured to be the father of Queen Margereth of Anjou wife of Henry the VI. Grandfather to Princes Phillip and Charles, murdered by the factions of the White Rose who seized the throne from Henry VI's Queen within two years after his death. Sir Bertine called Sir Bertram in France led the English Henry V into French soil during the battle of Agincourt. I'll send his tributal poem when I have more time.
