"Frank S. Entwisle, V.M.D. passed away on Friday, January 14, 2005 at Rydal Park Nursing Home. He was 83 years old.
"Born in Chester County, Pa. He was a graduate of Jenkintown High School; The University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1945; served as captain in the Veterinary Corp. of the U.S. Air Force. He then worked in a clinic in Pittsburgh, Pa. before establishing the Delaware Valley Animal Hospital in Fairless Hills in 1956. He previously had attended Franklin and Marshall College for Pre-Veterinary Medicine. He received the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Award of Merit in 1990, a proclamation by the Board of Bucks County Commissioners, Doylestown, Pa. 1995, District 7450 Rotary Foundation 1996 to 1997 Service Award, Excellence in Service Award by the Delaware Valley Immunization Coalition April 1997, Pa. Veterinary Medical Assn. for outstanding public service 1996.
"He was the loving husband of Bertha (Lake) Entwisle; the dear father of Nancy Green (Michael) of Marietta, Ga., Maryann Barnes (Bart) of Langhorne, Janet L. Hafer (Ernest G., Sr.) of Langhorne and Frank W. Entwisle of Yardley. Loving grandfather of Thomas, Mark and Sara Hadley, Jenifer Spangenberg, Kristie Krause, Lindsay and Melyni Mason, Dorie Hafer and Ann Entwisle.
