Enz family from Los Angeles/Vidal area

Hi. My Aunt Estelle and Uncle Raymond Enz lived in the LA area for many years (60s...maybe earlier). Also not sure when they moved to the Vidal/Indio area. I last visited them there in the early to mid 70s. They had three sons: James, Joseph and Daryl. I know Daryl and Jim died many years ago, and I have no idea about Joe and his family. I seem to remember that they lived in Indio and ran a family gas station. But once again this was in maybe 1973-74. My cousin, Joe was married to Georgette and they had two children names Joe and April. Jim was married to a gal named 'Boots' and they had two daughters, Linda and Melody.
I am hoping to hear from anyone who remembers them or may know the where abouts of Joe or any of their grandchildren. My Dad, Jack Allen, was Estella's brother and they came from Michigan. Thank-you.

I am looking for information on the ENZ Family. I believe my ENZ family immigrated from Fauenfeld, Thurgau, Switzerland and settled in Waterbury, Connecticut.

August ENZ may have married a woman named Caroline KANENCANE.

Ameilia ENZ married Emil C. STEINMANN/STEINMAN

Elise ENZ married Carl/Karl/Charles MAIER

They may have been a sister who stayed in Europe.

I posted about this subject a couple of years ago, but no response to date. Since then, I have researched further. I believe that Martin & Katie Enz emigrated from Germany before 1850. One of their children, Catharine,married Daniel Seward and they had 3 children, George, Floretta and Cecil (my husband's grandmother). Katie may have died before 1880 as Martin remarried a Hettie. They had 2 daughters, Rosa and Adelia and a son Sam. I have based this on the Elk County census records from 1850 to 1930. Does anyone have a relationship to Martin and Katie and know when they emigrated or tanything about heir line in Germany?

I am trying to find information about the Enz family. My grandmother was Lylla Mary Lillian Enz born in Los Angeles, CA in January 1900/1901. Her father was Charles W. Enz also of Los Angeles who married my great-grandmother Mary Louise Franck (b. 1/20/1880). Her father was Adolth (Adolph?) Von Franck and mother was Mary Ann Wootton (b. 1/8/1850). They were married in San Francisco, CA on 11/14/1869. Mary Ann's Father was Richens Lacy ("Uncle Dick") Wootton of New Mexico and mother, Mary L. of San Francisco. If anywone has any family info on any of these individuals, I would greatly appreciate the help.

I am looking for information on Margaretha Enz b. 1826 Wurttenberg Germany, her son Gottlieb Fredrich Enz b. 1848 Wurttenberg Germany. I am also looking for information on John Andrew Enz b.1879 Hocking County OH. He was Gottlieb's son. I am interested in the name of his (John's)mother. All I know is that she was born in IL and died shortly after John's birth (before 1880 census.)

Could someone tell me what nationality "ENZ" is?

Do you know which tribe and region it came from and about what time?

I see "enz" is used in some German and Austrian city names such as Bregenz, Bludenz, Bagenz, etc. Is it ORIGINALLY German or another influence?

Looking for information on Margaretha Enz (b:1826) and son Gottlieb (b: 1848) who came to US from Wuerttumburg, Germany around 1850. I believe she married Andrew Weaver sometime in the 1860's and was living in Ohio. Any help with Gottlieb's father or the date they arrived in US (probably New York) is appreciated.

I am a descendant of Joan Melchoir ENZ (b. 1669) of Switzerland. Joan's father was Joannes ENZ and the same name for his grandfather who was born about 1645. Cascading names from Joan Melchoir Enz, my line goes to Joseph Anton Enz (b.1705), Joannes Casper Enz (b. 1736), Petrus Antonius Enz (B. 1764), Peter Jos. Ignaz Franciscus Enz (b. 1792), Nicolaus Ignatius Enz (b. 1819), Frank Peter Enz (b. 1858 Giswil, OW), and my grandfather Amil Eduard Enz (b. 1881 at Giseil, OW).

Other family names on this line include EBERLI, HUSER, VON ROTZ, FANGER, BURCH, BUCHER, FRIDRICH, BERCHTOLD, JACOB and RORER.

Katie Enz

I recently came across Katie Enz, married to a Seward, probably in the mid to late 1800's. This would be my husband's Ggreat grandmother. I am not sure where they lived in PA, but their daughter,Cecil Maude married William Allen and lived in Renovo, PA. I am also interested in the origin of the name as it is unusual( at least in central Pa). We know very little about my husband's family. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
