Hello,

My name is Marco Ephraim from the Netherlands. I was searching information about Henry Ephraim and found your search for information. I'am sure that we are interested in the same family.

The roots of Henry Ephraim are from the Netherlands and I’am very interested in the Ephraim descendents of Henry Ephraim.

The information I have is

Henry Ephraim born 7th August 1795 in The Hague in The Netherlands

He arrived in 1850 in New York with his wife Elizabeth Ephraim. If Ephraim is also her maiden name I don’t know. Elizabeth is born about 1801, birthplace unknown

When and where they married I don’t know. Probably they married in England where they stayed for a short while before travelling on to the USA.

Later they moved from New York to Boston where they both died and are buried on Netherlands Cemetery Melrose in Boston.

Henry died 10-12-1878 and Elizabeth died 13-04-1868.

I thought they have 7 children

1. Rosena Ephraim
2. Morris Edward Ephraim
3. Hannah Ephraim
4. David Ephraim
5. Meyer Ephraim, born round 1836
6. Joseph Ephraim, born round 1839
7. Leah Ephraim, born round 1841

I really hope you can have more information about all these children of Henry Ephraim and their descendents.

Henry Ephraim came out of a family of 10 children. One of his younger brother was Abraham Ephraim, of whom I’am a descendent. Another younger brother of Henry was Hijman Ephraim. His grandson is Maurits Ephraim or Morris Ephraim who married with Esther Schwartz and lived first in Windsor, Ontario and later with his 9 children in Detroit.

Well, I hope to hear from you soon and hope we can help each other with a lot of information.

Warm regards,
Marco Ephraim
The Netherlands

My Family is from Bulgaria. Most of them left Bulgaria and moved to Israel (Back then it was Palestine, by the british) in 1940, just before the natzism entered Bulgaria.
Was wondering if anyone knows anything about the family before the 1900. Stories were told that the family tree reached back to king David.

Probably was sendt away from ancient Israel and found it's way to spain and during or around the 1400 moved to eastern Europe and settled in Bulgaria.

If anyone knows anything about this family - please post a note here.

Thanks

The only Ephraim in the Oroville census is Bernard Ephraim b. 1844 Posen. Perhaps his father was also Bernard who married Gray. Bernard married lulu Goldstein 1981, and their son Julian died in 1966 is Siskiyou after marrying Juliette Estella X and having kids Bernard and Alita.
