MY name is Rick Scott,I live in Tenn.I am Son of Carolyn Harper,the Grandson of Cora E.Epley and the Greatgrandson of Charles Vernon Epley,His father was James Henry Epley, His father was Peter Epley,these names I am sure of. Now I think that Peter's father was David Epley,a farmer in Perry Co.Tn.in 1840. I believe David'father was John Epley of Perry Co. also a farmer,in 1840 John was 78 years old.I have a lot of info. that proves John is in fact,Peter's grandfather.My only question is was David,Peter's father or uncle? Anyone having any info.about this,let me know,maybe I have some that could help you. John was born in York Co.Penn.7-25-1765,He fought in the Revolutionary War as a substitute for his father Mathius Epley,and later in place of a friend named George Lenard.He served as a soldier and interpreter in the Army.He applied and got a pension when he was 69 years old, First payment for $90.00 ( back pay ) and $20.00 a year after that.I would like to have more info on his father and so forth.Do you have any?
