I am so happy to find you! I have been researching the Terrion family for two years. The immigrant ancestors were Martin Terrion and Maria Cecelia Engle Terrion. They came to Pittsburgh from Alsace ca 1867. They were mainly glassblowers. Many of them ended up in Bellaire, Belmont County, OH. I believe that Pauline Terrion Ernette was possibly the oldest daughter. Other siblings were Joseph Terrion, Peter Terrion(killed young by a train in Pittsburgh), Mary Terrion (Tschippert), Elizabeth Barbara Terrion Hores Rima, and Anna (a nun with Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia). Martin died in Pittsburgh; his wife Maria Cecelia Terrion died in Moundsville, WV (across the river from Bellaire) on December 6, 1906. I can send you a family group sheet with dates, etc. Please contact me at diana_larson@verizon.net for more information and details. If we can prove Pauline was the daughter of Martin and Maria Cecelia Terrion, then I can take your line back two more generations.

This is basically what I have on August and Pauline Ernette- August is a family name, it was passed three times in Jeanette. Pauline T.(name from head stone) b. 1858 d 1906 was married to August Ernette b 1848 d 1909 (from grave stones in the old Sacred Heart Jeanette church cemetary) August had a Son August E. b 1878 d 1937 married to Ellen M. b 1876 d 1955. I descend from this line. I know that August and his Dad came here from Alsace- the family related that they were French. I think I have the ship record but am a little too tired to go rifling through the papers/files for this tonight. Are these the same August and Pauline as yours? If yes, this is the first I have seen the name Terrion (Is this English?) Where did you find her last name? (If this is a connection) I will close for now, hope to hear from you again soon :)

Are you still working on this line? I am looking for August Ernette and his wife Pauline Terrion. They had at last two children, Charles born in 1889 in Bellaire, OH, and Anna Cecile, born 1894.

Alsace Lorraine is correct for his birthplace. Could the Ellen O'Neil that you mention be a second wife?

I have located a surviving Great Aunt (Helen Hart) with a family tree.
More information not in prior post- This family settled in Jeannette PA.. They ran a nursery business there. They were Catholic and attended Sacred Heart church. The records for this church must be obtained from the church directly.

August Ernette

I am seeking the parents of August and siblings. His children are Bernard(b1862, d.1939),Mary(Walck), Helen (Hart), Elizabeth (Allen)and August Ernette. He died in 1937 but there are not records of him beyond this that I can find. He was married to Ellen O'Mullin O'Neil (b1880? D.1955). He was said to have immigrated here from Aslace Lorraine which was either German or French at the time he was born.
