John Henry Erny (Erni) was born about 1836 in Bern, Switzerland; he died in Pittsburgh 5-7-1905. He married Emma Ris (also of Bern) in 1866. She came here in 1864.

I found the Erny family on the 1900 census in Allegheny City (Pittsburgh) along with their four children. John was listed as a Stove Mounter. I couldn't find them on any previous census.

Would like to know when John Henry Erny came to the US (can't find him on any ship) and where he was living after he got here. Thanks.
