Sofia Jane (Wardrip) Erving b. 1898 Texas. Father was Amos Wardrip. Brother was Asa Wardrip.

Sofia married Earl Erving b. abt 1894 Kansas. In 1920 they lived in San Diego. Her brother Asa lived with them.

I think that your father is part of an Erving family that I have been looking for. Did your father have a sister named Elizabeth Sarah Ann who married into a family named Connolly? I feel that my grandfather may have been his half-brother and lived in Pittsburg, PA until his death in 1957. Please notify me if you know anymore about this Joseph Young Erving.

I am looking for information on John Erving of Ohio. He was married to "Lena" Erving nee Amolsch in Sandusky, Ohio in 1892. They had a son, George Erving. John Erving died around 1912 of asphyxiation. That is all I know. I have been told that John or his father changed the spelling to Erving from Irving because there were too many Irvings in their town. John is my 3rd Great Grandfather and I would love to surprise my Grandfather with more information. Thank you!

Irving to Serrano??

We don't know where my grandfather's grandfather came from, and there is little information on the family before he came to be my gggrandfather. I know the scattered details I have been told ny my granfather. Their name used to be Irving or Irvin or Ervin?? and some one was out to kill my gggrandfather, and he moved away from where ever he was to where ever he ended up and changed his name to Serrano. My grandfather was born in Ray, Arizona (which from what I have been told is just a hole in the ground now, due to a mine calapse). My grandfather's mother and father's names were: Leonardo Serrano Isabelle Telles. They had together five children: Lucy, Leonardo Jr., Nayo??, and Mary Lou. If anyone has anymore infor for me please help.
