I too am researching my husbands family tree.There is a Alexander Horne Eskdale that married Margaret McGhee in 1926.There were 4 children that we knew of but maybe more?
We have a William, not a Jack but is that the same name?
Daughter May, had 3 children.
Could it be same person?

Alexander Eskdale is my wife's grandfather. He lived in Glasgow Scotland, in Hutchesontown. He had Four children, James, John, William, May

James had a daughter, Ann

William had two daughters, Joyce and Elaine

sorry not sure of any one directly who emigrated to canada, but the names definatley low land scots and there is a whole district with the name eskdale,

which i found was from the scandinavian vikings collonising that part of scotland 13-14th century

If you are the same person who lived in Surrey, B.C. (female gender... as Kerry could apply both) in the early 80's, you might remember me. I was surfing my own name in the "F's" of the ancestry thing and decided to scroll backwards ("E's" were next) and saw your name (along with alot of other Eskdales) and decided to post a message to you.
