My name is Nicole Eskra and my family is from Mrkopalj, Yugoslavia on my great grandfathers side, his name was Jack Eskra and arrived in New York from Croatia in 1903 ish. His wife was Bessie or Barbara. They had seven children Max was one of them that was my grandfather. Jacks father my great great grandfater was Bartol Eskra... I think. I have heard from my father, James Eskra was not the give surname and that is was changed once they arrived at Ellis Island. If any of this fits in with your family let me know.
