DR. SARA E. HUGGINS died on February 3, 1991 in Bellaire, Texas. She was born June 29, 1913 in Denver, Colorado to Paul and Ethel Espe. She served as Professor Emeritus of Biology at the University of Houston. She was professionally active and served as visiting professor at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, the Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand and the Universiti Kebangsaan in Malaysia.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Russell A. Huggins, sons James and George; beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other friends and relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10am Wednesday, February 6, 1991 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Charles Floyd, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of choice or to the Graduate Scholarship Fund to be set up with the Biology Department at the University of Houston.
