Josephine Espinosa 1932 ~ 2009 Josephine Espinosa returned peacefully to our Savior surrounded by her loving family on February 23, 2009. She was born October 17, 1932 in Salida, Colorado to Lloyd and Tina Lucero Pacheco. She married Benjamin Espinosa in Espanola, New Mexico. Our mother was happiest when cooking for her family and anyone else who walked through her door. She also loved a good book and a movie. She loved her grandbabies and loved having them around here. Thank you Shilo for taking such loving care of Grandma through her last days. Josephine is survived by her children, Patricia, Gloria, Theresa, Elaine, Debbie, and Devin. Sister, Marci, and brothers, Ronnie and Frankie, 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and one on the way, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, son, Joseph, grandsons, Regan and Alec, granddaughter, Racheal, and sister, Pauline. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 S., where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T St. "Mom, words cannot express how much you will be missed in our lives. May our Lord's perpetual light shine upon you. We love you."

The espinosa family is from northen spain, the town Espinosa de montero still exist in spain, as far as Gaspar de Espinosa you should have no trouble finding him. Gaspar de Espinosa was a conquistador, governor of hispaniola and Carlo V accountant to the crown of spain, if you google his name it should come up,,if you find anything about him please let me know, my family origin are from hispaniola, my sister and i wonder if we are his decendant!

Rodrigues 11/112. a grandson born in 1904 and having his uncle Marcus Espinos living with him in 1930 stated that there familt ancestors once owned big land and that of Stanford University. I thionk they are related to the Briones/Mirandas living nearby or the family of Castros. (wife of Castro was named Trinidad.) They state that Rancho Santa Rita/Los Gatos was deeded in 1820 to a Trinidad Espinosa

I'm replying to my own message here! I found the vet's son, Robert, in California. The vet died in 1996. However, Bob, Jr., had an engraved cigarette lighter from his Dad's second tour of Vietnam, and didn't even know that a lighter existed from his first tour. He plans to pass the mementos down to his children, and was most grateful that we took the time and effort to track him down.

My Great Grandmother was first cousins to Beatrice who married Antonio Romero Espinosa.Jose Antonio Martinez was Benigno Martinez(my Great Great Grandfather's)Brother. He is also buried at Agua Mansa. Their Father was Sixto Martinez. He is buried at the old cemetery in San Bernardino Santo Campo. I'm sure we are related. I was able to spend some time with Louis Espinosa before he passed on several years ago. Louis was my Grandfather's first cousin. Gaetano Espinosa is my great grandfather. I have some info but I know this is a few years old. Don't know what you've already found. His parents were Michael (Michele) and Fortuna (Fedele) Espinosa. Michele came to Boston in 1904 and was from Amorosi, Italy. The tricky thing aboout Gaetano is that he was married 3 times and all 3 wives were named Mary. Seems like a Spanish surname but haven't yet figured that in. Hope this helps.

Her family lived in the Everglades hotel in Miami around the late 1920's or early 1930's.An uncle by the name of Gomez was put in prison in Cabana Fortress in Cuba under Machado' rule. She lived in Cuba at least in 1936.She was a friend of my mother, who met her and her family in Miami. My great great grandfathers name was Delphin Espinos and my grandfathers name is Fredderick Espinos. There is much to know about the Espinoza's as there are so many of them. I am eldest out of four girls, my dad middle of 5 boys and my grandfather Fredderick middle of brothers and sisters. Fredderick was in ww two. I am looking for a family that lived in the Hale Center, Hale County, Texas aroung the 1950's. I just found out that the father's name might be Chester. I do know that his wife is Isabel Barela. They had aobut 13 children altogether (this is my understanding). We have about seven of the children (only have five birthdates). They had a son on Feb. 28, 1952 there is Hale Center. He married Augustina Rocha.
