My grandfather, Peter Esser, was born in Cologne in 1856. His wife, Helena Margarits Steinmetz was born in Dusseldorf in 1859. My father, Hubert, was born in Essen in 1878. Also born in Essen were his siblings, Gertrude in 1880 and Andrew in 1882. I have no other info on grandfather, Peter. Supposedly, his grandfather had worked on the Kolner-Dome. No proof.
