just to say hi

Dear Mr. Essner,
This is Link, again. I wrote you on the Link board, earlier tonight. I just remembered why you weren't at the reunion.
Hope you are doing ok. Also, I can sympathize with the choice of seeing your daughter, a nun.
Unfortunately, ( I am married to a Link) the only Texas Links that are still Catholics is the Darwin Link family. I and my kids are Catholics. It was and is still hard to be a Catholic in East Texas.
From what I gathered, when the MO Links, John, came here, there was no Catholic church and they started going to Baptist? church and it was downhill from then on( hee, hee, speaking as a Catholic. ).
I better quit now before the other Links get mad and I'll be an outcast, again.
God bless you and ask your daughter to pray for us few Catholic Links.

My mother was an Essner from Michigan. Your best source is John Essner from Missouri who has amassed considerable information. Ulysses Adam appears in the info. The birthdate checks out correctly. Trust this steers you in the right direction. Merlyn
