My grandfather's name is Isidro Estevane' and he was born in Metcalf, AZ however he told us that his family was from Durango, Mexico. He is the son of Frederico Estevane', a gold miner by trade and he was from Mexico; and his father's name was also Isidro Estevane', I believe he was from Spain.

Isidro "Jack" Estevane' married Micaela Campa, and they left Arizonia with thier young family and moved to San Diego,CA.

Hi my mothers name is Alicia Garcia Estevane and she is from Miguel Auza, Zacatecas. Her parents were Felicitas Estevane and Pedro Garcia. My mother does not have much information about her family background, but at some point her mother told her that her grandparents were Spaniards.

Hello, I have my great grandfather named Simon Alarcon who married Eliza Estevane. I know that they came from Mexico to El Paso and had three daughters. One being my grandmother Elvira.

Hi my name is Vincent Estebane and my grandfather name was Pablo Estevane married Maria Dolores Puga Garcia also my great grandfather Pablo Estevane married Maria Antonia Cortez they were from a small town named Las Mercedes in Durango,Mexico. We also have family in near by towns named Pedricena, Emilio Carranza, La Una,DGO. Also in Torreon,Coah, Monterrey,NL. Other places dont want to name all. Also Cuencame,DGO about an hour north of Durango city. Was wondering if anyone knew any more information. As to where the Estevane's came from. I keep finding towns south east of Durango Mapimi and San Juan de Michis. And also Miguel Auza in Zacatecas. If anyone has more info feel free to post or email me.

My name is Rosalinda Pagan Pesquera, from San Juan, Puerto Rico and my mother is Rosa Julia Pesquera Esteban. She is related to Clara Esteban and Domingo Pesquera. Rosa Julia is 85 years old, good health and good spirit.

The places in mexico that you mention are pretty close together. My grandmother Francisca Estvane was I believe from Mapimi which is just outside the city of Durango. Those were also Pancho Villa's haunts. My grandmother married Remedios Campa. If you have any information on the Estevanes please e mail it to me Thank you

How interesting. I had read some on Pancho Villa and was a little familiar with the region. I wonder about the Estevane's, whether they were related and what brought them to mexico. If you have any more information please let me know.

ESTEBAN, JORGE HIDALGO Known as Steve by his Army comrades he served in the United States Army for 22 years. He heroically attained the bronze medal and the Purple Heart through his experiences in Korea and his tours of duty in Vietnam. He had constant support from his wife and children, these times were to be of great influence for the reminder of his life. After retiring from diligent service to his country in 1969, he moved from Seaside California to San Diego; however retirement wasn ' t in the picture, not yet at least. He subsequently attained employment at the Hanalei Hotel as a chef for 5 years after which he continued with his dedication for cuisine at Bullocks Restaurant. Finally he decided to retire from Bullocks in 1992. Steve is survived by his 3 daughters AnnaMarie Contreras, RoseMarie Olvera, MaryAnn Hidalgo, son-in-laws Jimmy Contreras, Frank Olvera, 8 grandchildren, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. We as family were also his friends, thru his chef orientated meals, he grabbed us with his constant humor. Nevertheless, thru his heart he ' ll hold us forever, with his influence of style and unequal love. Dad, (Steve), We ' ll miss you greatly. Viewing will be held at El Camino Memorial Park. 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd., Fri 4-8pm. Funeral will be held at El Camino Memorial Park Sat. 12 noon. My grandmother Cenovia Hernandez was born in Mapimi and told me many stories about Pancho Villa and her brothers....I always thought she was telling me "stories". My great grandmother Genoviva Estavane Mijares moved from Mapimi to Missouri because her sons were being "supposedly" terrorized by Pancho Villa....

Sorry...most of the Estavane family I am aware of was from Mapimi, Durango, Mexico. If you find that Ysidoro was from this area, then I have more information for you.

I have family from Mexico that I'm trying to gather information on. My great grandmother originated from Cusihuirachi, Mexico. Eliza Estevane - her dad was Ysidoro Estevane and mom was Dominga Carrasco.

My great grandmother came to El Paso, Texas and this is where she is buried. She married Simon Alarcon from Chihuahua.

All were born in Toledo , Spain in Islas Canarias. My mothers name is Clara Pesquera Esteban , she was born in Santurce, P.R.
