Serena Estes second husband was Thomas Jerome Woodlief.
He was the brother to my g-grandmother Harriet Modeste Woodlief Seay Driskill. He was born near Richmond, Ft. Bend County, Tx. either 1839 or 1842. His parents were Col. Devereaux Jerome Woodlief (born near Petersberg, Va.1806)
his mother was Harriet Jane Reynolds.(she was born in New York City, N.Y. 1819 to Harriet A. and Capt. Allen C. Reynolds) Allen Reynolds was granted the first Mexican Land Grant in Houston Harris County in 1831 (before the Allen Brothers bought property from John Austins widow in Houston)
Capt. Reynolds was the first atty for the municipality of Washington County when still under Mexican Rule (1835)
Thomas Jerome Woodlief fought in the Civil War, and died at the Confederate Home in Austin.
We have no records of Thomas and Serena having children.
