Estler-Morrow connection

While searching Ancestry.com I came upon my Great Grandfather's name linked to an Estler family Tree. As I do not currently subscribe to Ancestry.com I am unable to open the hot link to this page.

My question is: is anyone on this forum connect to a John D. Morrow or other Morrows'? If so, I would enjoy communicating as I have information regarding the John D. Morrow line.

Please, contact me directly at: DKBeachFam at aol.com as I am not a member of this forum.

Thank you, Denis

I saw your post from 2008 and hope you will receive this, as I'm looking for information on your grandmother, Edna Romine (Lillian Edna), married to my great grandfather, Elmer W. Romine. Their son, Berton E. is my grandfather.
I'm trying to get Edna's date of death and information on her parents. I believe her mother was Mary Ann Stickle (Estler) born 1866, married to George Augustus (Bull) Estler, my great grandfather. I'd like to verify this and possibly know her parents. Thanks so much!
Elizabeth (Romine) Murphy

The only Bevercombe's we're not sure of, are way back there in Devonshire, England Our line came from Dorsetshire. We've collected everything we can find on all Bevercombe's. Our English immigrant was Charles Henry Bevercombe, who first settled in Lexington, Kentucky, but went west. Gerrie

Re: Estler,George

Ezra D. Estler and Anna his wife who are buried in the Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery appear to be Ezra Darby Estler, who was born 10 Oct 1858, son of David Henry Estler and Clara Bruen Ricker, and Anna Pittenger, who was born 6 Jul 1860, daughter of Wilson Pittenger and Hannah E. Kanouse. I have Anna's date of death as 8 Oct 1916, as reported in the Boonton Weekly Bulletin of 12 Oct 1916; this differs from the 1926 date reportedly on the stone.

Ezra and Anna had two daughters: Elizabeth M., born about Oct 1880, who was unmarried and living with her parents 15 Apr 1910, and Flora, born 23 Dec 1885, died Aug 1974 (SSDI). These correspond to Lizzie M. Straight (1881-1926) and Flora H. Estler (1885-1974) on the stone.

One of these daughters is presumably the mother of Howard E. Estler, born about 1909, listed as Ezra's grandson in the 1910 and 1920 census reports.

On 4 Aug 1914, Flora married Guy Britton, who died in Simons, Ashtabula County, Ohio by 11 May 1923. Flora Britton was listed as married in the 1920 census report but was living with her parents in Boonton Township, not with her husband.

The Boonton Weekly Bulletin of 23 May 1918 contains a story, which I have not seen, about the will of Ezra D. Estler. Given that Ezra Darby Estler died in 1954, the story may be about Ezra Dewitt Estler.

I suggest you look for your family on the LDS Family Search site - it can give good clues. Otherwise, look in Dorset, England. We've found our Bevercombe's in Bere Regis and Blandford Forum, Dorset. The name can be found elsewhere in Dorset too. I recognize the James, Mary & Anne Bevercombe names, but have never heard of Mary Worman. Our Alfred Bevercombe married "Betsy" Elizabeth Jenkins. GERRIE

What information do you have on Mrs. Ezra Estler: Anne Bevercombe & her family? Our Bevercombe family came from Dorsetshire, England. We've never seen the Bevercombe name that's not related to ours, other than your family in New Jersey. There were Bevercombe's in Devonshire, England very early. Would love to share data.
Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, none of those people are in my Estler line.

To the best of my knowledge, my Ezra Dewitt Estler was born Mar 4, 1855 and died Sept 2, 1937. His wife, Anne (Bevercombe) Estler, was born May 3, 1862 and died Dec 8, 1943. I believe both are buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton, NJ, but I do not yet have that verified.

I have 2 George Estler's
1) is George Lewis Estler, son of Eugene Estler and Mary Jane Doremus, born about 1854. Eugene's father was Lewis Estler.

2) George A. Estler ,married to Mary Stickle, born about 1850. He was the son of James Augustus Estler and Anna Augusta Cook.
George and Mary had a daughter,
Lillian E. Estler, born August 16, 1887, who married Elmer Wilson Romine.
He is in :
History of Morris County New Jersey, Volume II, Lewis Publishing Co., 1914
They are all from Morris county, Boonton and Denville areas.
James Augustus and Anna Augusta are buried in Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery. I think it is on Powerville Road, near Boonton

Also Ezra D.( Dewitt ? ) Estler, born 1858, died 1954 and Anna, his wife , born 1860, died 1926, are buried there.
On the stone of Ezra and Anna there are Flora H. born 1885 died 1974 and Lizzie M. Straight, born 1881 died 1926. I have no idea who they are. I assume Children.
There are no guarantees of this data.

Re: Estler, Ezra and his brother Albert

I am related to the Estler's via Albert (1814-1864), Ezra's younger brother. I have some basic info on their parents and other siblings. I would be willing to exchange any info you might have on this family. I have their parents as Conrad and Lydia ( Williams) Estler.

Albert and Cynthia (Woods) had a son, Ezra Dewitt Estler, who was my g-grandfather. To the best of my knowledge, they were all from the Boonton and Boonton Township areas. I believe the earlier Estler's in my line may have lived in Pequannock.

The only mention I have found of a "George" is on the list of "Boonton Township Cemeteries", published by the Historical Society of Boonton Township, Inc. The dates are listed as 1864-1946. I hope this may help.

Estler, George Ny or NJ

George Estler had two children, Dorothy, Audrey, Their mother was named Helen Storer. The children were born in NJ. I'm looking for information of his parents and their parents.
The Estlers are from the Boonton/Montville, NJ area. George is also related to Ezra Estler who drove the stage from Parsippany, New Jersey to Newark, and back three times a week. He was noted for his exceptional memory. (Pioneer Days In Boonton, N.J. C Hammond)
In the 1850 Federal Census, Morris County, New Jersey, Pequannock-Townshlp, dwelling #267, he was listed as a farmer, aged 42, born In N.J.. with him were listed his wife, (Elizabeth), aged 40, his son (David H.), aged 12, and his son (Janes A.), aged 10. There was also a (Theresea aged 8. (Harold w. Estler) did not Indicate that he had a daughter by that name - he may have missed her. Or she could have been the daughter (Theresa) (2-2151), of (Ezra's) brother (Albert) (2-215) - however, her age - then should have been 11.
According to his will, written July 20 1887, he was the owner of a considerable amount of real estate In, and around Boonton, New Jersey, consisting of both land, and houses. In It he mentioned his wife (Elizabeth), his son (James), and the churc of his deceased son (David). (Surrogate Court, Morris County, New Jersey). How is he related to George?
E-mail: robert263@optonline.net thanks for any help
