Nan Becker dies this morning
Mrs. Albert J. (“Nan”) Becker, 77, 200 South Main, died Wednesday morning at Allen Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for the past two years. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in Dietz-Carlson Colonial chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns cemetery.
Edna M. Etherington was born February 11, 1897 in Abilene, Kan., the daughter of John and Hannah (Coup) Etherington. She had been a resident here for the past 50 years. She was married to Albert (“Al”) J. Becker, October 20, 1915 in Okmulgee Okla. He died Feb. 15, 1968. She was a member of the First Christian church and of the E.M.B. club.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Betty) Bush, Tyler, Tex.; two brothers, Harry Etherington, Garden Grove, Calif., and Roy Etherington, Kilgore, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth McMillan, Garden Grove, Calif., Mrs. Lelah Reed, Tyler, Tex., and Mrs. Myrtle Perkins, Stockton, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Jack Becker, who died Jan. 30, 1974.
