Do you know of any document that proves that Jesse Howard & Lucy Mayfield were the parents of Eliza? Old SAR & DAR applications show that Tucker married Eliza in 1846. Do you know where they were married?

I'm not related to this family. I am the State Registrar of the Kansas Society Sons of the American Revolution & am assisting a family in getting their applications approved. SAR wants to verify that Eliza really was the daughter of Jesse & Lucy.

Timothy Peterman

Tucker Eubank & Eliza Howard

I am trying to find evidence of some sort that shows that Eliza Jane (Howard) Eubank (d June 22, 1906, Barren Co., KY, widow of Tucker Alexander Eubank) was the daughter of Jesse Howard (d 1853, Monroe Co., KY) & Lucy (Mayfield) Howard (d 1861, Monroe Co., KY). Jesse & Lucy were shown in the 1850 census of Monroe & Lucy was shown in the 1860 census of Monroe. They are buried in the Old Mulkey Cemetery.

I am interested in any type of document (land record, probate record, court record, church record, county history, etc.) that either proves this, or at least enhances the plausibilty. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Timothy Peterman

Would someone please contact me with information regarding where I might find these books or Bible records? I believe my family is linked with the original Eubank/Ewbank families of Albemarle but am unsure how. My ancestor is Garland Overton Ewbank/Eubank (went by Overton or O.G.). He served in Co. I, 46th infantry regiment in the Civil War and died in White Sulphur Springs, WV. His parents were John Ewbank/Eubank and Catherine (Norvell?).

Luther (b-12/28/1874, d-1947) was my wife's Great Grandfather. He lived in Nashville, TN. Family stories, says he graduated Vanderbilt in Chemistry. His draft card shows him as a druggist. Family stories also says that his son-in-law was a Gerst, a member of the Gerst brewing family. Any confirmation of these stories or additional information about Luther would be helpful.

There was a Mary "Mollie" Wright (born 1840) who married William A. Sandidge/Sandridge (born 1844), and they are buried in Amherst Co., VA in the Asbury Methodist Church cemetery. Also buried there is a Florence Tomlin Sandidge (born 1880)....as well as a set of twin Sandidge infants who died at birth.

I had suspected that the above Mary "Mollie" Wright MIGHT have been a daughter of the William S. Wright and Angeline Tomlin mentioned in your post, but the list of William and Angeline's children that I have seen on the two available "charts" on RootsWeb WorldConnect does not include a daughter who was named "Mary" (but maybe she was simply missed). I don't know, however, just how Florence Tomlin Sandidge was related to William A. Sandidge and Mary "Mollie" Wright (i.e., I don't know for sure if she was their daughter....so the "Tomlin connection" COULD be by some OTHER "connection").

The later/younger man who was named William T. Sandidge/Sandridge in Amherst (married to a Margaret) is shown by some to have been a son of the above William A. Sandidge and Mary "Mollie" Wright, so I wonder if the middle initial stood for "Tomlin" (versus "Thompson," as shown by some reearchers)? Do you have any information on the above Mary "Molly" Wright who married William A. Sandidge/Sandridge? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I never knew that uncle Bob was b in Hanover. My husband's grandfather Arthur Howard was Luvenia's brother. Their parents were Edward Howard & Mary Virginia Longest. I have uncle Bob's death date as 31 Aug 1972 & aunt Lou's as 5 Aug 1964. Which one of their children do you come off of? Any info on the Eubank's is appreciated. Guess I will have to look at the Hanover Eubank's now.
Ollie

Hello Mr. Elsworth:
I am also from the Eubank family. I would appreciate any information you have on the family when they were in Kansas. I've recently connected with my cousin, Janet Partlow, who lives in Washington State. She is also related to the Eubanks. Stephen Green Eubank had James Joseph Eubank in 1826. He was married twice (and his father Stephen was married 3 times, I believe). James Joseph had my great grandfather, Stephen (Euzelle) James Eubank, born 1868 in Sedalia, MO. He abondoned my grandmother's family in about 1919 and was never seen or heard from again. If he was anything like his father and grandfather, I believe he may have remarried and had another family, and I'm trying to find any of them who may exist. Thanks for your help.

Regarding your message, please note that you show the son of Stephen Green Eubank and Susanna Branch as being James Franklin Eubank, born in 1826. I don't think that's correct. I believe his name was James Joseph and that he was my great grandfather. Your records show he married Nancy Ann Trent in about 1828 in IL, and they had 3 children, which is correct. But then James Joseph went out to California to work the gold mines, and abandoned Nancy Ann Trent. 8 years later when he showed up in IL, she had remarried, because she had heard he died out in California. Then James Joseph married Elsie Rouser, and had my grand father Stephen (Euzelle) James Eubank, another son named Lee (who I believe died at around aged 9) and a daughter, Laura Elsie (who went by the name Elsie). Stephen James Eubank also went out to California where he met and married my grand mother, Dorthea Evelyn Rollins Eubank in about 1909. In 1919, Stephen abandoned the family and was never seen or heard from again. That's why I'm looking for anyone who might know Stephen (Euzelle) James Eubank, born in Sedalia, MO, in 1868, because he may have also remarried and had other children. If you can help with this, please contact me. My email address is dellasmith77833@yahoo.com. Thanks! Della D. Smith

I think my cousin may be able to help you with that, because I believe she is on the Osborne side. I'm related this way...TGE married to Susanna Branch, had James Joseph Eubank, who had Stephen (Euzell)James Eubannk, born 1868 in Sedalia, MO. If you would like to be in contact, please email me at dellasmith77833@yahoo.com and I can give you my cousin's email address also (which I have at home, and I'm not there right now).
Thanks,
Della Smith

I believe Stephen G. Eubank was my GGG grandfather via Susannah Branch. One of their sons was James Joseph Eubank, born about 1826, died 1907, and his son with Elsie Rouser was my grandfather, Stephen (or Euzell) James Eubank, born 1868 in Sedalia, MO. If you would like to correspond, please contact me at dellasmith77833@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
Della Smith

Re: James Brownlee Eubank Clark Co. KY

I don't know if you've had the success and/or luck to find out more about the Eubank family of Clark Co. KY and VA but I'm trying to trace a Eubank/Kennon connection that's pre-1820. My ggg-grandfather, Robert Kennon, came to Clark County from Virginia. He and his first of three wives,Elizabeth Miller Reynolds, named their oldest son, Eubanks Kennon, but he was always known as "Banks." Robert Kennon's past is a stone wall and I'm hoping to be able to get around it by tracing the Eubank connection to either Robert's mother or one of his grandmothers. I've already traced the Reynolds connection and no Eubank shows up. Thanks for any help you can give.
