Hi Gwen, My family and I have been looking into the Eubanks,Lyon and Pearre families for awhile now and unfortunately still remain confused. We do know that these 3 families were closely related. Some are found in Kings and Queens County, Virginia tax and land records and later in the 1820 federal census for Columbia County, Georgia. Interesting also that the elder Major Eubanks adopted Dixon Lyon in 1855. This is found in Genealogical Selections From the Acts of the Louisiana Legislature 1804-1879 compiled and edited by Judy Riffel. We think Major Eubanks had to have a Lyon family connection for this to have occurred. We hadn't found the Pearre connection but if James Pearre married Elizabeth Lyon then there's one connection. Sorry I don't know more, Stephanie
