John W. Eubanks Dead
John W. Eubanks, aged 76 years, died Wednesday morning of last week at his home on Scrub Ridge, after a lingering illness.
Mr. Eubanks was a good citizen, a devoted husband and father and his death was mourned by a large circle of relatives and friends. He was a veteran of the Civil War and served in Co. R, 193 Regiment. Besides his widow he is survived by five sons, Tine, of Grenada, Colo., Charley and Albert, of Bentonville, John F., of Fawcett, Granville of Peebles; and one daughter, Mrs. Emma Rothwell, of Peebles.
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon from the Scrub Ridge church by Rev. L. A. Washburn, of Peebles, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Scrub Ridge cemetery.
