My grandmother was also a Euchner. She was the daughter of William and Catherine Euchner. She had 5 sisters, though, Catherine, Mary, Teresa, Anne, and Fran. My grandmother was Clara.

Hi Just returned fron Old Burg cenerery in Martinton Il - site of G_G_grandfather John Euchner B-1838 D-1920 and his Wife Mary (Stoffer)(Stoeffer) Swis B-1848 D-1910. AND John F. Euchner B-1867(US) D-1941 with his wife Minnie I (Bunker) B-19870 D-1942. AND Walter H Euchner B-1877 D-1893.

There was a very ruff stone with a top name of Maria and may have been daughter or wife of a J Faupel date possible of 1877 at age 27 yrs-5 months.

My grandfather did have a sister Katie B-1870 and married a Ezra Savoie in 1893. Hope this connects. Ron - email chas7116@aol.com

Brother of John Euchner born Evangelical 6th of January in 1838 per head stone and obit, arrived 1854 from Grafenberg, Nurentegen, Germany. On the same boat was a Christoph age 14. Their mother Barbara and father Johannes and sister Marie Agnes are believed to be in SoWales, Erie, NY 1860 with John. Where was Christoph? Seeking all info for possible trace of any Christoph.

I am trying to find the family of a Mary Euchner, who married Justus Faupel (originally Vaupel) in Washington, IL about 1870.

She was born 1850, place unknown. She died in child birth about 1875, possibly at Martinton, IL or possibly at Washington, IL.

(For the record, Justus Vaupel was born in Niederjossa, Hesse-Kassel, Germany in 1842.)

Hi, I'm very much interested in your research on the Euchners from Wurtemburg Germany. My Great Great Great Grandfather Christoph and Maria Dorothea Brandstetter brought their family over about 1850 and settled in Holland, NY. Is this the same family?? Please write me back with any information that you have. My father William Euchner JR passed away a year ago without leaving much knowledge on his familys past. Our father was William Henry Euchner Jr born in 1935 and died March 2000. He has one brother John. His mother was Lillian Fisher born 3/26/1900 and father William Henry Euchner Sr born 12/3/1889. I'm researching my family history and my Greatgrand Father, Francis Joseph Uher had a first wife named Catherine. The details that I have aren't to clear but what I come to conclude is that Francis and Catherine lived with a Evelyn Euchner around 1910 to 1918. I'm assuming that Evelyn was Catherine's daughter from a prior marriage. And I also assume that Catherine may of had the last name of Euchner at one time. Catherine died around 10-13-1918 and Evelyn, who was born 1910, died in 1924. Both are buried at West point Cemetary New York next to my GreatGrandfather. They lived in Orange county New York.

I am attaching some text from my site, which I have devoted to same:

Gottlieb and Marie (ne: Pfisterer) Euchner
Esslingen, Germany;
(Neckartenslingen)
Circa 1890's

My Great-grandparents; Gottlieb and Marie Euchner.

They lived in a small town in Germany called Neckartenslingen, Wurttemberg.
Esslingen (the nearest "big" town) was located near Bruhl and Stuttgardt.

Gottlieb and Marie Euchner
raised 7 sons, including my Grandfather:

Traugott
Gotthilf
Karl
Emil
Ernst
Otto
Wilhelm (My Grandfather.. Born June 23, 1905)

I don't believe I have many living relatives left in Germany, but my Grandfather believed that "Ernst" escaped the world war to live in the U.S., which leaves me the hope that there are living relatives left...

If any of this stuff sounds familiar, please don't hesitate to mail me. I have pictures of all the brothers as well as houses, etc. in Germany. It would be interesting to hear from you as I have always wondered if there are any relatives out there.. My grandfather didn't talk about his family much...
