I am still greatly interested in learning about my Enzmann family connection to the Eulitz family. All i know is that my great grandfather, Karl Heinrich Enzmann was a half brother to Franz Hermann Eulitz. Karls mother (name unknown) became a widow and later married the father of Franz Hermann Eulitz whom I have found out was named Traugott Wilhelm Eulitz and that Franz Hermann Eulitz was the second oldest son of Traugott Wilhelm Eulitz according to records here at Trinity Lutheran Church. Franz Hermann Eulitz was born April 4, 1864 there in Germany and died July 8, 1949 in Illinois while visiting his sons William and Herman Eulitz. Franz Eulitz was the sponsor for my grandfather Franz Herman Enzmann and his oldest daughter dora to come to the US in 1928. He also was the sponsor for my grandmother Lina Enzmann and her children, Ilse Ruth and Herbert Franz, my father when they came here in 1929. Franz Herman Eulitz had 4 children that lived, William, Hulda, Herman who married Clara and Natalie. I would be most appreciative of any help that you could give me. My father Herbert and his sisters Dora and Ilse are all deceased. Thank you.

I was glad to hear from you about our Eulitz family. I feelwe are related but need to check further. My Franz Herman Eulitz was born in Saxonia Germany in 1864. He was the second oldest of 4 sons of Traugott Wilhelm (he went by William) Eulitz. Franz Herman Eulitz supposedly came to the US at age 16 by himself. However, I cannot imagine a familylet a 16 year old boy come across the ocean by himself. Cannot find any ship records to verity this. Anyway Franz Herman Eulitz married Clara Goehring and they had 10 children of which only 4 lived, namely Hulda, William, Herman and Natalie. Were any of these 4 the parent of your grandmother? If so, we are on the right track. Hope to hear from you soon. Marie

I am trying to locte info on my Eulitz-Enzmann families. My Great Grandfather was Karl Heinrich Enzmann born 1860. His family moved to Meissen where he married Amalie Pauline Frede. Karl's mother died and she remarried William Eulitz. One of Williams sons was Franz Hermann Eulitz. Another son was Charlie William was a widower and he married the mother of Karl Heinrich Enzmann. So the Eulitz-Enzmann family merged. I do not know the name of the mother of Karl Heinrich Enzmann. Frnaz Herman Eulitz came to the US in 1881 and he also was the sponsor for my grandfather Franz Hermann Enzmann and his daughter Dora to come to the US and sponsor again when my father Herbert Franz Enzmann and his mother Lina and sister Ilse to come to the US. I would be most appreciative if you have any infor on the Eulitz-Enzmann family in Meissen. Thank you.

Thank you for replying to my Eulitz Enzmann querry. Frank/Franz Hermann Eulitz born 1864. Died July 8, 1949 in Illinois. He married Clara Martha Justine Goehring on 11 Oct 1885 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Louis, Missouri. Had 10 children with only 4 surviving being Hulda, William, Natalie and youngest Herman H. Eulitz.

Franz Hermann Eulitz was the half? or Step? brother to my Great Grandfather Karl Heinrich Enzmann born 25 February 1860 in Niedermohrbach Bie Rosswein, Germany. I do know that Franz Eulitz father was Traugott Eulitz. Now my question is I know Traugott Eulitz had a family and his wife died. My Great Great Grandmother Enzmann(name unknown to family) had a family and her husband died. Question. When Enzmann married Traugott Eulitz did she have children with Traugott or where both family united as Step brothers?

Franz Hermann Eulitz was the sponsor for my Grandfather Franz Hermann Enzmann to come to the United States in 1928.

Any assistance you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Do you have birth, marriage and death dates for your Eulitz and Enzmann family? That would help me sort things out a great deal.
Many years ago I corresponded with Mrs. Clara (Michael) Eulitz, wife of Herman Henry Eulitz; letter dated 24 Nov 1979; Letter from Edna Knapp, 1229 W. Market St., Taylorville, IL, 62568; grand daughter of Frank Herman Eulitz. Letter dated 23 Dec 1981; and a letter from Ilse R. Stichling, dated 22 Oct 1982. 5655 Oleatha Ave. St. Louise MO 63139.
Perhaps something in my letters would be of help to you.
Until later................. M.
Thank You for your reply. Please keep in mind, that my parents hometowns are only based on rumours. Also it was legal to have abortions in the 70's in the state of Calif. and it is believed by my doctors that I survived an attempted abortion. It was not uncommon for a person who got pregnant out of wed-lock - especially w/a mixed couple situation, for a woman to secretly run off to Ca. to have an abortion and then return to her hometown as if nothing had happened. Anyways, if you do hear, or suspect any possibilities please let me know - Melissa :-)

Thank You for your reply. My full birthname was Melissa Renee' Taggert. I was born in Pasadena, Ca. I am of Black/or Puerto Rican/ or Cuban and white descent. If my natural mother put the correct name's at the time of birth, her name was Glenda and my father's name was James. I was born on July 25th, 1972. It is believed that one of my parents was 18 and the other was 21 at the time of my birth. Rumor has it that my birthmother was from somewhere like Arkansas, or Kansas, but that is just a rumor. It is also believed that my birth-mother possibly attempted to abort me. I was born w/1/4 of my heart missing. Since then, I have been adopted, and I currently live in the bay area (N.Cali.) I hope this is enough info. I hope to hear from you soon. - Sincerely, Melissa C. Luce.

John Eulitz married Estelle Taggert, probably in Phila. PA before 1918. Their children were Estelle Annie b. Nov 1918 PA and John Eulitz Jr. b. 14 Sep 1925 PA, d. July 1983. Estelle's mother was Annie (McDermott) Taggert. Estelle Annie, daughter of John and Estelle Eulitz perhaps married
a James (last name unknown). As I had heard, this Estelle had undergone a minor surgery, and while in the hospital talking to her mother...... died.
Estelle (Taggert) Eulitz b 9 Apr 1901 PA, d. May 1979 perhaps Beach Haven, Ocean Co. NJ. John Eulitz, 14 Dec 1897 Phila PA, died in a fire in his home in Beach Haven, May 1981. I think their son John Jr. may have married and has children. I would appreciate any little bit of information. Thanks.... Marysue Eulitz
