(Hi I am Gary Eury But I also Go By Andy I had a Problem with my account anyway If this is the Same guy who recently contacted me about Adam Eury then here is My Response)
You Said Adam A Eury is your Great Great Grandfather. The Adam I speak of Is Adam E Eury. Now this May be the same guy and one of us have the middle name wrong or we r probably still related but wrong Adam. My Great Great Grandfather James M Eury and his brother Adam E Eury were sons of Abraham Eury. Contact me again on this matter send me your previous email to this account and ill try to figure this out but if we share the same Adam Eury I will be happy to share with you is military service during the civil war. Or I can possibly help you find the rest of your ancestors in your line of the Family Tree which I have access to.

Sarah was my great-grandmother - married to Lloyd Jackson of Maryland. I am not sure where Sarah was from. However, family folklore says she was at half Native American. Sarah was born about 1892 and she married Lloyd some time shortly before 1917 - they lived in Anne Arundle County, MD at that time.

If anyone has information I would appreciate learning about it.

RRoberts

Hmm I do not think I'm the one sorry. But Im positive we are related. Just more distantly than it seems. My parents divorced several years back and we relocated here. My greatgrandmother Eury was named Mary Zora Rice. This is crazy seeing as I've lived in Valle Crucis, 15 minutes from Boone for almost 4 years and have yet to here of a Eury other than my Father. Did you find much information about on your visit to Boone? If so where? Mabye I can check it out. So awnswer to your question Im not related to this Mrs. Agle, but I think all Eurys are somehow related.
Wilson Clark Eury
OMG!! Who is your g grandmother? My search for my g grandfather, Charles Eury, started with William Leonard Eury and HIS direct family. I went to App State Library and did a lot of research in trying to link how Charles might be related (based on hearsay from one of my mother's brothers-in-law). There I found out that Leonard had three(?) sisters--one of whom was living in Boone at the time. I called her and she vaguely recalled a Charles, but couldn't connect him. She gave me a lot of information about her family, Her name was Margaret Eury Agle. She was the dau. of James Walter Eury & Lona Douglas Eury (Douglas Airport in Charlotte). She was unable really to help me; I really wanted to visit her, but I felt she was not ready to talk much more-so I didn't push it. I think she ws in her 80's at the time.

Mrs. Agle was able to give me the names of a Bullard Family and I followed up with them (all three). There I was able to make the connection with my g grandfather Charles. The Bullards' grandmother or g grandmother was HURT. Her sister (my g grandmother) married Charles Eury!! (Cabarrus County, NC)

Do we have a connection? I think we do; and I'll bet Mrs. Agle told me to get in touch with her grandson, or g grandson if I found out more information. Would you be that person?

We need to talk. Why don't we talk by phone and see if we can make the connection. Another brick may have fallen, methinks--but the Adam E. Eury vs. the Adam A Eury worries me.

email me at teweaver@msn.com & let's get started. ok?
And THANKS!! WOW. Terry

Yes, I do.

A really big coincidence in this whole post: William Leonard Eury, was born in Bessermer City, which is where my maternal grandmother lives, and ofcourse worked in Boone, where I actually live. Did you ever find out how he tied into your and mabye my family tree? Valeria's great grandfather, is my great great uncle. So are we related somehow?

Adam E Eury was his name. I'm not sure what the E is for. He was born March 13 1844, and married Hetta or Etta Matilda Harkey, who was born Apr 26 1845. Adams father was Abram who was born in 1815, and died 6 Jan 1878. His mother was Nacy, but I don't know anything else about her. Adam's son Victor S Eury,is whom I descend from. Does this help?
Wilson Clark Eury

Hello. The Eury Reunion you mentioned was held in Monroe, NC. at the W. Monroe Church. It had already been held when I learned about it. The person who gave me the information also sent me some information on the Eury family--some of which I already had.

I think perhaps your Jacob Eury was related to the Adam Eury from Stanley County, NC. There were 4 Adam Eury's listed in the 1860 and 1880 Census. That is a very large family; and I had thought at first that it was my direct lineage--but is not.

I would suggest you email Valeria at vmcdon27551 to see if she can help you out since she did attend that reunion.
There were a lot of Jacob Eury's also,; but I don't recall seeing the name Lambert in any of my paperwork.

You are very lucky to still have your mom with you. Mine died this April after living a very full life of 93 years. Imiss her terribly. Terry

I found your discussion while looking for a lambert ancestor and very interested in the Eury family. My g grandfather was Jacob Archibald Luico Eury (1867 - 1954). His daughter Effie Jane Eury (1893 - 1936)was my grandmother and she married Millard Houston Lambert. You mentioned an Eury Reuntion in Monroe. When and where is it? I know that my mother (who is 95) would be interested in attending.
Thanks, Elaine

You probably have most of it, or have heard about it, because I beleive it came from Mrs. Virginia Foil. I'll send it as soon as I can.
Thanks so much for the doucments, and the picture of Victor. My grandfather will love these. I think I found only one mistake. But ill look over again later. The mistake was on the document about Etheldread, it says he was born in 1785, and he was listed on the 1940 census. Wouldn't that mkae him,155? Thanks again. And if you have anymore pictures or documents please email me them. My grandfather also has pictures of his Uncles and Aunts, and there might be one of you Great Grand Father. As soon as I see him Ill try to send them to you.

I have very little info on the Blakes- my relation is through William John Blake's wife, Mary Ann "Mittie" Stutts. I show William John's parents as Azariah W Blake and Parthenia (don't know maiden name).Mary Ann's parents were Andrew J Stutts (called Peg because he lost a leg in the civil war) and Elizabeth Ann McDonald. William John and Mary Ann had Henry W Blake, Annie Blake, Betty Elizabeth Blake, William Thomas Blake, John Wesley Blake and Martha Blake. I have family group sheets with date of birth and death on William John's family if you want me to mail to you, let me know. I also have a hand made book on the Haywoods that includes some info on the Blakes and Stutts. Valeria

My family moved some years back to Boone, NC. So we would probably have to do it by email. I just started researching the family about 3 weeks ago. So you probably have all the information I have, and more. One of the family members who has helped me alot, was my Grandfathers cousin, Morris. He has been to the town where Hans came from. Do you have any information about Hans' parents, siblings or wife?

I have a good bit of information on Hans Georg Urich that came to America in 1751 on the ship St Andrew. Also have a picture of Uncle Vick and Annie with Franklin, Lonnie, Charlie and Gladys (thanks to Virginia Foil). I would love to see what you have. How do you want to exchange info?
It's in the mail. Don't worry about the postage. I made the copies on my printer. I hope you enjoy- I included one of our newsletters from our Eury reunion that talked about Hans Georg written by a cousin of mine. We just had our reunion last Sunday at West Monroe Church in Monroe, NC. Valeria

I would love to have a copy. Let me know how much it costs, and I will send you a check plus mailing costs.

Terry Weaver
9 Springdale Court
Greensboro, NC 27403

That would be great!!! This is such a small world!! I met a relative on my paternal grandmother's side of the family whose wife is a former EURY. His relatives are STEPP's! Those are Eury's from Stanly Cnt. area!!!

It is good of you to suggest that! Every once in a while, a brick falls out of that wall, doesn't it!!!

Terry
