Brian, Thanks for your response along with info.
Do you have available a pedigree outline for John EVANS Sr & son John EVANS Jr (md to Sarah Batte) with dates & locations?
I have that John EVANS Jr md sarah Batte in Henrico Co., VA 27 Jan 1696. This would put Johns birthdate at abt 1675.
Additional info I have on HENRICO VA EVANS:
bef 1703 Henrico VA
a James EVANS is transported by John Robinson
Apr 1704 Henrico VA:
A Charles EVANS receieves 383 acres on north side main branch of Proctors for transporting 8 persons.
1705 Henrico VA:
Charles EVANS receives 140 acres on north side of James River & 1468 acres on south side James River
1711/12 Prince George:
Stephen EVANS Dec'd
(any connection with Stephen EVANS of 1745 Prince George?)
1728 Brunswick VA:
John EVANS of Prince George receives 523 acres on north side of Nottoway River.
John EVANS Jr of Prince George Co., VA receives land on both sides of Nottoway River.
(Does this pertain to a one John EVANS or pertaining to two John EVANS', a Sr & JR? Is this John EVANS jr the John md to Sarah Batte?)
Are you familiar with any of these EVANS' as outlined above? And how are they connected to one another?
In regards to Stephen & Robert EVANS of 1745 Prince George along with father John EVANS, is this John the s/o John & sarah Batte EVANS?
i would be interested in the "real estate" info you mentioned. Please do send me a copy. My addy is jwgarrett@webtv.net
plain or text or jpeg format if possible.
Would ike very much to find the parents of my Thomas EVANS . 1747 Amelia Co., VA.
At about his time in Amelia Co were the following:
John & Robert EVANS below Deep Creek in 1736.
A George EVANS on upper side of Flatt Cr in 1736
A Robert EVANS on both sides of Buffalo Bed Cr in the fork of Nottaway in 1741.
Then there is the Thomas EVANS of Dinwiddle who sells land on the north side of Nottoway River in Amelia in 1756. This land was patened by John EVANS, adjoining lines of Robert EVANS.
I question how these Amelia Co EVANS are connected along with Thomas of Dinwiddle?
