Ardmore Man Frantic over Disappearance of woman and Babe
Leaving Ardmore Wednesday afternoon for Oklahoma City to meet her husband, Mrs. Ruth Evarts, 19 years old, with a fifteen month old baby, has comdletly disappeared and all efforts to locate her have been fruitless. Her husband is W. T. Evarts, trainer at the Union Athletic Club. He is frantic over her failure to show up in this city, and believes that she has been kidnapped or enticed away. Evarts formerly lived in Ardmore, but has been in Oklahoma City, he left his wife at a boarding house in Ardmore and then sent for her the first of last week. The people at the boarding house say that they placed her on a train Wednesday afternoon, but she has not appeared in Oklahoma City. Evarts says that he did not meet the train but that his wife knew where to find him. He notified the police and Travelers’ Aid of the disappearance of the woman and child. The woman is described as five feet six inches in height, weight 125 pounds, light complexion and blue eyes and brown hair. Daily Oklahoman
