Abraham Eversole d. 1845 Bedford Co. PA names his daughter, Roseanna intermarried with Daniel Schnably, in his will. She died before he made out his will and this too is stated. She died 29 Dec. 1838 age 30. Tombstone says wife of Daniel Schnably. She and Daniel are buried in Warner Cemetery, West Salem, Wayne Co. Ohio.

Daniel Schnably b. 1809 d. 1863 was the son of Henry Schnably and wife Elizabeth Huber of Bedford Co. PA. Both Daniel and his brother Rudolph resided in this area. Rudolph Schnably and his family are buried in this cemetery also.

Elizabeth

Abraham Eversole d. 1845 Bedford Co. PA

For those of you who are researching Abraham Eversole in Bedford Co. PA. I found a tidbit in the "Commemorative Historical and Biographical Record of Wood County, Ohio; Its Past and Present", by J. H. Beers & Co. 1897.

The biography of Solomon Smith in the 2nd paragraph states:

On the first day of the year 1856,in Mifflin township, Richland Co., Ohio, was celebrated the marriage of Mr. Smith and Miss Mary Zody, who was born in Bedford Co. Penn., January 5, 1831, and was six years old when brought by her parents, Jacob and Catherine (Eversole) Zody, to Richland co.
--------------
Abraham Eversole d. 1845 names his children in his will. He names Catherine intermarried to (looks like Jacob Lody). I am convinced the name should be Jacob Zody.
--------------
Jacob Zody b. 4 August 1807 d. 17 Sept. 1885 and Catherine Zody b. 8 Oct. 1804 d. 8 June 1879 are both buried in Sante Fe Cemetery, Miami County, Indiana.

Elizabeth (descended from daughter Elizabeth Eversole Schnably/Snavely)

I show that Abraham married Mary Logue, and Margaret Ann Folkerth, I list his father as Balzer, but I don't see a source for that information. Maybe Liz Stratton will chime in if she sees this post. (I haven't talked to her in quite a while... maybe I'll try get her over here).

My interest is mostly Folkerth, but I steal Eversole stuff from Liz when I get a chance. Was over at Henry Clay Eversole's grave at Woodland cemtery in Dayton on Saturday (son of Abraham and Margaret Ann).

Steve Koons, Dayton, Ohio
Harriette Eversole Where Are You??????

Harriette Eversole was an important person in our family history and I can't seem to locate her on the census. She was probably born in Ohio but went to Tennessee around the Tullahoma area. She was a best friend to Anna, my husband's great great grandmother and Anna sent her only daughter down to Tullahoma to live with Harriette while Anna went through a messy divorce. So, Harriette should be in Tullahoma in 1900, but I can't find her...You have to understand the importance, two women were named after her in the family. She had to have been a wonderful lady.

Anna Fidler's best friend in Ohio was Harriette Eversole. Harriette moved
to Tullahoma Tennessee some time before 1900. Anna sent her
daughter, Lulu, down there for a visit when she divorced her
husband Daniel Fidler around 1900. I cannot find any records on this Daniel and
Anna Fidler. I've searched census, ( All different spellings, and
different data bases) If I could find Harriette in a record then I may
find Anna's home while married to Dan. Anna lived
with Taylors in Putnam County at one time. Dan was from Fulton
Co. Thanks a lot for any leads Denise

My husbands ancestors were from Owsley Co.KY( also Clay, Jackson & Perry) His gr,gr grandmother, Elizabeth Eversole was b.1820, married Jeremiah Fields(b.1826)in 1846.She may have been a Begley widow, per Jeremiah's Civil War pension appl. They had 4 children, Sarah b.1847(who married Samuel Davison),Joseph b.1852 who married Mary Polly Hignite, James b.1855 (died before 1863)and Stephen b.1858. Jeremiah died 1863,and is buried at Vicksburg, was a SGT in the Union Army. We trying to find Elizabeth's grave.
Her son Joseph was my husband's gr grandfather, and he was alive in 1889, but we can't find a record of him in 1890. We have searched for years to find his grave. His wife, Mary Polly, married again to John Gabbard ,and she later died in IN.
We are hoping Elizabeth and Joseph are buried close together.
Do any of these names sound familiar to you?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
