Hi Maureen, Its so nice to hear from you.
As you probably know I am the 4th brother, Frank (2nd eldest) and I started researching about the same time and exchanged info but he had more free time and better contacts than me so he put it together.
Alan (middle brother) was the one that went to Indonesia but he has now moved on to Saudi, I am also in the oil industry and work in Baku Azerbaijan on a dive ship. Stuart (the youngest) is the only one who lives in the UK. I'm not sure if you've seen the tree, which is getting quite large now, on http://www.tribalpages.com/ and search "The Eves Clan" perhaps you might like to add your spouse and decendants to it, as I noticed that Lavis is not among the large list of other surenames. My address is evespaul@hotmail.com if you would like to contact me directly.
Regards
Paul
Jane Elizabeth Eves , 95, born ,in Hagerstown Md.daughter of Ann and Ambrose Foreman,Lock Haven, PA ,

Jane Elizabeth "Libby" Eves , 95,
of Lock Haven,PA,
died at Pine Heights Nursing Center in Brattleboro, Vt. . on Nov. 6, 2010.

She was wife of the late John Hudders Eves and was predeceased by six siblings.

Libby was mother of John, Richard, David and Peg Eves. She had four grandchildren and eight grandchildren.

Libby was daughter of Ann and Ambrose Foreman and was born and raised in Hagerstown Md.

She moved to Lock Haven in 1952 when her husband started his dental laboratory and she worked at Woolrich Woolen Mills for 11 years.

Above all else Libby loved and cherished people. She was an attentive and loving wife and mother whose expression of interest, support and love heightened as the years passed. Over six decades in the Lock Haven area she has enjoyed dozens of enduring and close relationships. All who know Libby will attest to her outstanding sense of humor with throw away one liners, nick names and self-coined phrases. At one time she might be overheard giving a television news commentator a good talking to over politics, but Libby never had a bad word to say about a friend.

Libby was very creatively talented and was often busy making all kinds of projects which she promptly gave away.

Always working on an afghan with an order for the next one to be started she was also an avid reader with a stack from the library waiting by her chair. She adored and was fascinated by nature especially flowers and maintained gardens at her former home in Crestmont.

She spent her las weeks with her daughter, Peg, in Vermont.

A memorial service was held at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Brattleboro, Vt . A service will be held in Lock Haven, on a date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be send to Susque-View Home, 22 Cree Driver, Lock Haven, PA 17745.

St. Michael Roman Catholic Church."
Thanks for the note! Nice to meet another relative of Edwin
Adolphus Eves.
All of my research into the Eaves line comes from Census records etc or else MArriage Certificates -- birth Certifictes in family files.

Edwin Adolphus Eves had three wives -- the first one, Elizabeth bore him the following children named in the Census Records for 1971. (Census Records for other years show the same children although in the earlier Census REcords Alfred is also included. I surmise by 1871 he was old enough to move out)
A

Ellen, the youngest, is my husbands ancestor, married to
Herbert Morley. another interesting Census record , 1991, shows Ellen at age 15 living with her older brother, Charles in London.
Hope these facts help your research!

And I would love to share more things about the Eves with you and hear more of your data as well. The Census Record for 1871 is just below my signature.

Elizabeth

1971 English Census Record
Edwen A Eves
Age: 49
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1822
Relation: Head
Spouse's Name: Elizabeth
Gender: Male
Where born: Brighton, Sussex, England
Civil Parish: Brighton
County/Island: Sussex
Country: England
Street address:

Occupation:

Condition as to marriage:

Disability:

View Image
Registration district: Brighton
Sub registration district: St Peter
ED, institution, or vessel: 44
Neighbors: View others on page
Household schedule number: 61
Household Members:
Name Age
Charles Eves 20
Charlott Eves 10
Edwen A Eves 49
Elizabeth Eves 48
Ellen Eves 5
Walter Eves 15
