My maiden name is Evetts also from Samueal and Susannah. I would be interested in communicating with you. Please contact me on Ancestry.com under Evetts Family Tree. I have talked with a relative in his 80's who has said he and his wife have finalized the paperwork to do the DNA testing so will be pleased to see how yours and his match up.

Jane Evetts Cartwright

My maiden name was Evetts and I therefore went to my nephew to do the y-DNA testing. It came back where we are kin to quite a few Everett surnames but no Evetts surnames. I can track us back to a supposed George Evetts from NC and a for-sure son of his Samuel Givens Evetts who m'd Susannah Haynie and they lived in Dixon Springs/Smith County, TN. Has any of the other Evetts's done y-DNA testing or FF testing? We might be showing as cousins in the FF testing but cannot recognize each other due to name changes!
~Joan Seitz

Have any of the rest of the male Evetts's done a DNA test?

Looking for descendants of Thomas F. Evetts, son of Samuel G Evetts,Jr.& Mary P. Dodson of Coryell and Wise counties of Texas. Thomas died in 1929 and was the only child of Samuel and Mary to have a death certificate. He gave the full name of his mother and it is the only proper record I have found to document Mary Phebe Dodson's full name. I was hoping maybe there might be photos or other documents from the family.

I descend from Mary Phebe Dodson and Miles Allen, her first husband.

Brenda, I have been trying to find Mary Ann Stewart-Taylor's parents and siblings for years...She married Richard Taylor in Dec 1851 in Meigs Co TN...(have never found her on 1850 Census) The family moved to Independence Co AR about 1868 and she is living next door to the James/Dicey Stewart Family and same area as Martin & Elizabeth Evetts.
Since her birthday is consistant she would fit right between Elizabeth & Calvin Stewart...
I know she belongs to the Independence Co Stewarts someplace but just cannot find proof where. I ordered some Ind. Co Microfilm at LDS yesterday and hopefully will find something, perhaps probate on James F & Dicy? Would really appreciate
your thoughts. Would you know anyone else in the Stewart Research that might have additional information?

You are right, she could possibly fit in between Elizabeth and Calvin. All of the places are the same as far as living etc. It's been awhile since I've done anything with the Stewarts, I'll look back through some of my hard copies and see if I can come up with some names we check with, to see if they can help any. Could you give his information so I could add him. I have all of the other children you listed. You don't by any chance have a maiden name for Mary? or a death date. I also, do not have a death date for Moses.
