Not sure if our families are related, but my wife' 2nd Great Grandfather was Carl Ewald, and his wife was Emma Otilie Wohlgemuth. They had 10 children all born in Queensland: Heindrich Carl (b.21.1890), Auguste Emilie (b.27.3.1891), Lydia Ernestine (my wife's Great Grandma, (born 6.11.1893), Reinhardt Ferdinand (b. 23.5.1895), Gertrude Eugenie (b. 5.10.1896), Clara Elizabeth (b. 16.6.1898), Ärich Konrad (26.5.1901-26.9.1914), Conrad Wilhelm (b.27.6.1906), Hubert Ferdinand (b. 8.4.1908), and Alma Adelheide (b. 30.8.1909). I know my wifes family generally flourished around Rockhampton in later generations, and may have started out in Maryborough. Would love to know if there is a connection?!
