Fred was c 2 Aug 1835 in Danbury Esses, the son of Thomas Ewers and Mary Ann nee Williams, they are in Maldon Essex on the 1861 census. They had at least 10 children. Thomas was c 1803, one of at least 7 children and the son of John Ewers c. 1762 Danbury and Mary nee Sayers; John was the son of John and Ann who died Danbury 1804 & 1796 I believe. This John's age at death makes him quite likely John Ewers c. 7 Feb 1730/1 at Hatfield Peveral Essex, the son of John Ewers and Mary nee Baily who married 1724 and had 9 children at HP. This John was the son of John Ewers & Grace Cobbs who married 1700 (Browne's marriage licences)
