Are you sure Ronald is the son of Roman? Roman would have been only 17 at the time he became a father -- that's a little young.
If Ronald is the son of Roman, he is also the nephew of Maybelle Ewert Chavez (husband Anthony.) She may still be living. Do you have access to ancestry.com? I think you'll be able to find her listed. She might know about her nephew....? Or might have other names of people you could contact...?
