Does anyone out there have any information on the Eyre family from Cornwall? My GGG grandfather was Thomas Eyre of Truro (born Bodmin) approx 1792-96. He married Elizabeth Isabella Murphy in 1815. Thomas died in 1861 and Elizabeth in 1878. They had many children. One of their children -My GG grandfather John Charles Eyre went to Australia where he married Rebecca Elizabeth Richards in 1855. They had 3 children and they then moved to Otago, New Zealand in 1862/63 where they had 8 more children. Another brother went to Australia also- he was William Thomas Eyre. One of their sisters Maria Louisa Eyre went to Australia and married a fellow Cornishman - Abraham George Jacka
