Hi, my name is Robert Branden Ezell. Just looking on here trying to get some family history, since none of my relatives seem to know anything. I don't even know the names of my great-great grandparents. Can anywhere send me this Ezell family book you are talking about? Or where can I find it? Thanks

Another family researcher gave me the names and birth dates of their children. Some of the dates don't coincide with the censuses, but it's a start. Timothy b 1814, Reuben b 1816, David? (could be Benjamin) b 1818, William R b 1820 or 1822, Delila b 1822 or 1828, George b 1824, Henry b 1826, John b 1825, Calvin b 1830, Nancy b 1832, Eliza 1837.

Uriah Minga m. Cinthi Jane Ezell 4/10/1820

I am looking for information on the parents of Uriah Minga/Mingy/Minge/Mingia/Mingea who right now seems to have sprung full grown out of the soil in Wake Co. Here's what I know:

- Married Cinthia Jane Ezell on 4/10/1820
- 1830 Census lists him in Cross Roads district
- 1840 Census lists Wake Co, no specific part of the county
- 1850 Census lists Cinthia as a widow living Cross Roads district

Their children were:
Betty
Josephine
Martha
Hartwell b1814(my ggggrandfather)
Victor b1820
Seloon b1830 (or Seldon)
Cinthia Jane b1832

I believe he may be connected to Ambrose 1791-1847 and Dudley Minga 1780-1857 of Granville/Warren/Halifax counties because of geographic proximity and the closeness of their birth years. However, I currently have no evidence to confirm this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Meredith

Dear Patsy, Purry Ezell Churchman was the sister of my ancestress, Mary Ezell Churchman. She married Jacob E Churchman and those girls named their children very similar. Am tracking the Ezell family to share sources on their parents, Jesse Ezell and Alice Simmons. My email is LLang54@aol.com
Regards,
Linda Boyle Lang

Is there anyone interested in pooling all our sources for Jesse Ezell born bet 1780-1790; died between 1840 and 1850 in probably Cedar Co, MO & Alice (Ally) Simmons (Seamons)? I've noticed there are several online trees w/ my ancestors in them, now w/ the death date of 1847. I am tracing the Ezell line in hopes that there might be some family tales told as well. I am a descendant of Mary Ezell and Jake Churchman. My email address is LLang54@aol.com and I would be happy to share all I have from my private tree "3 Brothers from Ireland".

I am another gggranddaughter of Samuel Ezell. Dorcas was his mother. In Spartanurg she had lived with Samuel and Rachel (nee Paine) Ezell. When she first moved to Union County, GA, she lived with Rachel's parents, John and Philadelphia Paine. (There was another Dorcas Ezell in Spartanburg, and that sonetimes confuses the issue.) Samuel and Rachel may have been her parents. If you look at her age pattern over the years, there's no way to tell when she was really born (even though her tombstone says 1810.) Samuel could also have been her older brother.

Please help solve this mystery: In my family tree information it states that Elijah Forester (my grt. grt. grandfather and his second wife Arrena Parilie Blankenship were married in September 3, 1882 in Alton, Missouri, Oregon County and were made guardians of Della Forester, who later married Sidney Ezell on August 18, 1895, in Howell County, Missouri. I have found a Della Forester listed in another family tree (Davis-Mccurdy)as the daughter of Grandville Forester (1847-1895)and Mary P. Smith
if this is the sameDella Forester she also had siblings:Iry L., Taylor, William M. Forester. Any assistance you may give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Karen:

I don't know if you still check the messages. It has been so long since your post. I am also interested in a Payne/Ezell connection. My father's middle name was Payne and his mother, Caroline was from ALabama. That's about all I know right now.

Paul Ezelle

Ezell in VA and TN

I am looking for information about the following people.
America Ezell b 1829 Williamson CO TN m John Cauble Miller in Weakley Co TN 1846.
There were only two Ezell families in Weakley with children. Harrison Ezell was from NC. Fielding Ezell was from VA. America stated in census reports that her father was from VA.
Fielding Ezell first went to Williamson Co TN. He is in the 1820 census with three other Ezell men: Balaam Ezell (son of the Revolutionary soldier who went to KY), Frederick Ezell, and Zacheus Ezell. Fielding was witness to the will of Balaam. Zacheus may have moved to Obion Co TN. Frederick remained in Williamson, Frielding married Elizabeth Dodd in Williamson and moved to Weakley Co TN by 1831. I think these four men were related...but how.

There is a Zacheus Ezell in Surry Co VA 1810. Also 1795 Zacheus Ezell married....Underhill in Sussex Co VA.

And information would greatly appreciated.
Nadine,

I am trying to solve a mystery, arn't we all! Anyway, I grew up thinking that my grandmother was a Kennedy, Kenneda. But just recently received her death cert in the mail and her mother was a Joiner, but the mystery is that the funeral home says that the paper work said that her mother was Mary Francis Ezell. Mary Francis did marry in 1901, at age 53 to a Bryant Kenneda, age 73. Stewart Co Tennessee, my garandmother was b. 24 June 1886. To old to be Bryant Kenneda's daughter. Does the name Mary Francis (Fanney) sound familure to you? Also, my Grand Mother Julia married Will W. Glover
