This isn't much help, but I have family history that states Mary Louise Garner was the niece of Joseph Ezernack of Natchitoches, La. She was the daughter of Charles W. Garner. She was also cousin to a Mrs. Odella Ezernack who was a writer under the name of "Wandering Dell." Sorry I don't have any more information.

Mary Louise Garner married Charles Wesley Pullen.

I am pretty sure that the Josephine mentioned in this post is my maternal grandfather's mother. Is it Mary Josephine Ezernack Hubley, born 25 Jan 1851 and died 29 Dec 1913? This info is from her tombstone as recorded at findagrave.com. No photo is on the website. If this is her, she was married to Daniel Hubley. I know this is an old post, but if you still need it, I can give you at least some of her descendants. My grandfather is Henry W. Hubley, born Nov. 1889 and married to Lula DeLatin.

Ezernack is French. The first Ezernack to appear was Jean Charnaque, one of many spellings. He came from France. If you want more info please email me at marilyngeist@comcast.net. Jean goes back to the middle 1700's.

Marilyn

Just read you inquiry on of 9-2003-
There are quite a lot of Ezernach families in Zwolle, Sabine Parish, Louisiana. It was orig in that area Sharnac. Changes to Ezernach. A Sharnac/Ezernack family donated land for the mission church/now St. Joseph Catholic Church-Zwolle, La.
Very good place for genealogy. Maybe it was Jarnac/Sharnac/Ezernack.
Sabine Parish is next to Natchitoches Parish.--
Hope this helps. This area was a no mans land. When France sold Louisiana (Louisiana Purchase)-they errored in leaving a 90 mile stretch that was owned by no one. Spainsh territory on one side and America on the other. In between a lot of people settled in this area _Rio Honda-- because they not under any law-hence- no mans land. No Federal Marshall could touch them. My husband's family was from this area.
(just a little history)
Would you please pass the word at your reunion that we're looking for a Steve EZERNACK who was married in the late 1970's to Rhonda (BROWN) MILLS. We would like to know if he has any knowledge about Rhonda's daughter. Rhonda BROWN (13 Oct. 1948, Paradise, Butte Co., CA - 14 Sept. 1998, Connecticut) first married Gary MILLS. Rhonda went to truck drivers' school in Bridgeport, CT. She was driving a truck for the Bob Hammond Shows when Tina Marie MILLS was born in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha Co., SD, 11 Aug. 1971. The marriage broke up, and about two years later, Rhonda gave Tina to "Tye and Phyllis," who were also working for the shows. We don't know whether there was a legal adoption or where it would have been. Rhonda later married Steve EZERNACK and also Richard MICHLEWSKI. We'd like Tina to see her great-grandmother who is nearly 99.

Does anyone know anything about Steve EZERNACK?

ezernack/campti/natchitoches

I have Ezernacks that show up on both sides of line.
Delrio's of Campti--and also Ybarbo's of Campti.

Mary Elmira Ybarbo was married to an Ezernack-and she had a son Nicholas Ezernack b around 1900--Mary married again to Frank Delrio-and had my grandmother

I have all of Nicholas' war documents he was killed in action in WWI in Italy--I hoped to find Nicholas' fathers family and talk to them about his life. If anyone knows what his name is please write.

Elmira Mary Ybarbo was Nicholas' mother-they lived in Campti near Natchitoches. The Ybarbo's and Delrio's are descendants of Los Adaes the Spanish fort near Natchitoches. They came from Spain around 1720.

I always assumed Ezernack was Spanish--Because they were living in same homes with these spanish speaking families.

Write anytime.

dcreel7164@aol.com

My Ezernack was from France. Listed in "Citizens & Foreigners of Nacogdoches by Carolyn Reeves Erickson" is the Life and Activities of Jean Sarnac dated July 19, 1809. He I have found about two dozen different spellings, but have tied my family directly to him. Jean jarnac is listed in "Natchitoches Colonials by Elizabeth Shown Mills" and it is my belief that this is the same person but haven't been able to prove it yet. Still searching...

MICHELLE I TO AM PART EZERNACK. MY MOTHER WAS A EZERNACK FROM CAMPTI, LA. HER FATHER LEON DIED IN 1936 SO WE HAVE VERY LITTLE INFO ON THIS FMLY. MAMA WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. FRENCH, CAJUN, INDIAN AND MAYBE SLAVONIAN(NOT SURE WHERE THATS FROM MAYBE SLOVENIA NEAR ITALY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC. MY COUSIN RESEARCHED ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO AND SAID THE EZERNACKS ORIGINATED FROM MALTA OFF THE TIP OF ITALY. THE PEOPLE ARE DESCRIBED THERE AS BEING MED HEIGHT, BLACK HAIR, AND DARK EYES AS MY EZERNACK FMLY IS. ALSO THE STATE RELIGION IS ROMAN CATHOLICISM AS MY FMLY WAS. I'M STILL RESEARCHING WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT I FIND. MAYBE THIS WILL HELP YOU.

ANN LOVELADY

Hi Debby,
I have a copy of "Marriage Records of Sabine Parish, LA; 1843-1900" and it lists the marriage of:
Sharnack, Bush to Maxey, Polly on 16 Dec 1875
the marriage is recorded in marriage book 1, page 279
at the Sabine Parish Courthouse in Many, LA
I think this is probably the family you are researching. While researching Ezernack, be sure to check alternate spellings such a Sarnac, Sharnac, Sharnack, Jarnac, Jarnat, Guisarnac, and Guisarnat (all French) as well as Jarnaca, Sarnaca, Y'arnac, Yarnac and Yzarnack (probably Spanish)
I hope this helps.
