Hi there 1st Cousins: Dennis, Lou Ann, Leatha!! NICE to find you here! I find it interesting that we are the youngest of the Pastian Cousins - but we are the ones doing this research! AS an exception - Harold Pastian contacted me recently . He is hooked on ancestry.com, and has dug back in to Germany. Contact me to get his email.

For the rest of you, I am the Great grand daugher of Leapold Faatz and Christena Nicolaus. Grand dauther of Amalie (Mollie) Faatz and Heinrich (Henry) Pastian. My mother was Vera Lucille Pastian Faatz. I am updating our Mansheim descendants and can provide you with fact sheets or FTW exports - which ever you prefer. I would appreicate the same updates from each of you on your growing families. Do any of you have some good pictures of our ancestors? I have posted what i have on my facebook photos. PLEASE contact me: Facebook and email is jmansheim@gmail.com.

I was sad to hear of aunt Blanche Pastian Horton passing away - do any of you have her family line Tree info? I last saw her at Mom's funeral in Nov 2006. Leatha - How is aunt Florence? Sad that we are down to our last 2 matriarchs of our family. I only have one aunt left on my fathers side also. PLEASE EMAIL ME!

And thanks for all the great work you guys have done!

Joyce

Morning Letha, long time no see! How is aunt Florence? I was up to aunt Blanch's funeral a couple of weeks ago, got to spend some time with Ron and Merry, really didn't know them either, but Ron did look and sound just like uncle Vern! Drop me an email--see what we can share in this tangled up vine of ours (I've been working on the line that went to ND and MT---what a confusing mess)

dennis

d1024@cableone.net

I suspect it was your FTM Faatz information I have been looking at today. I have been working on the Faatz connection out of Boyd County, Nebraska and Gregory County, South Dakota. I have a connection to the Faatz line through a couple marriages to Gall girls. Also, at my Uncle Ray Gall's funeral last January, I met an Earl Faatz who thinks he has connection to my Gall line so I promised him that I would do some digging. Do you have Faatz information from the book "Saga of the Missouri River Revielle" by Adeline Gnirk? I would be happy to explore our combined information in more detail.

That book is not cheap! i'm trying to purchase a copy but have been told it is still available in the drugstore in Gregory where my mom is from. Her mom was Amelia or Mollie Faatz Pastian . If you want to know more or would like to talk with my mom email me , Keep shaking that tree- Never know what might fall out-lol Sincerly, Leatha

I only have a little infrmation on her. She married my Gr Gr granfather, Peter FORNUFF. I believe she immigrated from Germany between 1850 and 1860, and she died after a few years in the US. I will have to look up my records and see if I have anything else on her, although I think that I was not able to verify most of the information I have for her. I am still trying to verify it, and I haven't followed her line back to Germany.

You can also write to me directly at fenchurch701@hotmail.com

The Clara you speak of, did she marry a Holmgren? That's what I have here. :) Gosh, this family is huge.

For clarification, my husband's Grandpa is Edward (the second Edward. Remember I said there were 2 Edwards and 2 Clara's born to Fred and Elizabeth?) Anyway, my Father in law was just 2 years old when his Dad (Edward) was killed in 1948, so he never got to really know him. After doing some research the family believes he was murdered by his brother in law (I think that's who it was) over a card game..or something. His death was staged to look like carbon monoxide poisoning.

Hi, I need to get in on this..lol...hmm, I see mentionings of SD and NE. I am an inlaw to the Faatz's with ties to those 2 states..some of the names in the family are Fred and Elizabeth Esterling Faatz (parents). Their children are: Edward, Clara, Richard, Rose, Albert, Freda, Edward, Clara (Yes, 2 Edwards and Claras...first 2 died), Elsie and Edith. If any of these names are familiar, then maybe there's a connection. :)

Hi LouAnn, I know you and I have talked before. In fact, didn't you send me information about Leopold Faatz?
