Thanks for replying. If our Marchand female married your grandmother's brother the age would be about correct. Please could you find out as many details as possible as we have no leads at present. We have no idea what the female Marchand's name was except that she married a Fabre in Mauritius. She was one of 11 children. We are awaiting birth certificates to find out my grandfather's parents names as she was his sister. My grandfather's name was Stanislas Virgile Marchand.
