Well, I stumbled back onto this post after sitting here for 6 1/2 years. From talking to my grandparents before they died, I can break down my blood a little bit better. I'm about half Polish, and several slices of other Eastern European flavors. The Fabry names comes from the side of the family that has its origins disputed. My grandmother's dad's birth certificate said he was born in Austria, but his death certificate says he was from Russia, so we don't know what exactly went on there. My hunch is that he was from Russia, considering my grandmother's other genes were from Ukraine and Poland.
