We probably are related! My great grandmother was Mary Borgatti (We always pronounced it wrong saying Boragarti).
It would be great to compare notes. It's very hard to get into on people who were born outside the US.

I'm your cousin Beverly! Your parents Pam & Honey were close to my parents Warren and Esther(Cram) Pike.
I've been trying to do research on Nana Cram's family but because both of her parents were from Italy I've been stumped. I don't know where they came from in Italy or when they came here or what port they came in at. Do you happen to have any of that info?

was your family tied into Maria Palumbo Corradino. This would have been a second or third marriage.They ended up living in Stockton California and he passed away in 1974.
Am trying to find out more. I am Maria Palumbo's grandaughter by marriage and Vincent Facchini would be my step grandfather. Have been trying to find a link forever.

I am not sure...but my best guess is that they were from Calabria and they migrated to São Paulo (Southeast) by 1910 - 1920.

Do you know from region in Italy your ancestor were from? Also, to what region in Brazil thet immigrated to?

I am Luiz Bergamini, I am Brazilian also. My Grandfather was João Facchini Bergamini. Son of Ernesto Bergamini and Ernesta Facchini.

Ernesta Facchini was daughter of Pio Facchini and married Cleonice Trassi.

Do you know if Luigli and Ernesta were related?

Hi my name is Marcio Fachin from Florida United States. I was born and raised in Brazil. My ancestor's last name when immigrated to Brazil used to spell "Facchini" as per Italian documents a family relative has. Luigli Facchini when registered with Brazilian authorities in Portuguese language last name was translated to "Fachin" as we use it now. My aunt claims we originated from Luigli Facchini who immigrated from Treviso Italy to the state of Sao Paulo in Brazil. Apparently Luigli Facchini used to work for a bike's repair shop in the Treviso area in italy. That's information I have.

My grandfather is a Petecca from Isola de Liri. I don't know if that is near the town you mentioned. There are many Petecca's there. My aunt still visits them. When my grandfather Alberto came to America his name was changed to Patricca at Ellis Island. Perhaps our original Petecca's know each other? :-)

We are Facchini's from Montreal also, My dad Loreto,me,dominic, 2 sisters Mirella and Suzie and my mom Antonietta (nee.Polsinelli).
My uncle Giovanni, his son Tony and daughter Isabella also Facchinis. All the other Facchini's in montreal are not related to us, I think? We, all the kids were born here, but our parents come from Sora,Frosinone in Italy. Grangfather Enrico.

Hi Joan,
Unfortunately, my uncle Kenny died a (few) years ago of a heartattack. And my Nana (Ada) passed away 2001 at the wonderful age of 99!! She was a GEM!!!! We have had quiet a bit of loss. My Auntie June (Ada's) Oldest daughter, died last year of Cancer, and shortly after, her brother Johnny died. The only elders left are Anna Mae, (my grandmother) and Ester (my aunt-who is not so well herself). That is it from the original 6 children that Ada had. Ester sold Ada's house on Smith's lane that her(Ada's) father built, last September. There are PLENTY of cousins. My mother Margaret is the oldest granddaughter. Hey Im Nathan Facchini from Everett, Washington. I am 20 years old and currently in Fairbanks, Alaska going to school to become a fire fighter.My Grandpa is Peter Angelo Facchini also from Washington. His parents are Angelo and Livia Marie Facchini they are from Italy. Livia Marie Facchini is from Castel Grande-Potenza and was born November 1, 1890. I am not aware of any relatives in Seattle. My parents went to Canada last year and met the relatives that we never thought we would find. My great granfather and his brother had quite a few kids. Now I don't believe we have anymore Facchini relatives in Italy, they are either here in Illinois, or in Canada. Most of the ones in Canada speak French. Thanks for asking. I never thought there were this many Facchinis around, I still feel like I am related to all since we all have the same last name. Take care.

My nana who was 99 just pasted away in Jan. She lived in Mass. and her name was Ada Facchini. She had brothers , Luigi, Reigo, Theodore, and Arnold. Her parents were Italo and Mary Borgatti (Facchini). They were from Bologna, in Northern Italy. Her father Italo was a guard to the King. Any connection?

I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you, I never saw the reply till today. Anyway, I haven't gotten any more information on my Facchini family but maybe the family split up. You said your family went to Brazil, and mine came to America. Now in Italy there are many Facchini's in the North, but back then there were not. I'll keep looking and if I find any more to help, I will.

My parents are both from Fano, Italy.
My grandparents were Remo and Virginia Facchini
I remember my father telling me that he had first cousins in New York and in Argentina.
His cousin in New York was called Leo Facchini but I don't remember the name of his cousin in Argentina.

When did your grandfather come to this country, Diane? My grandfather (Silvio) came over in the early early nineteen twenties. I know his sister either had been here or came here after him, and I also heard he may have had cousins here as well. So it's possible that our grandparents were cousins. I need to contact my aunts to see if they know a little more about his background. I'll get back to you.

I have mostly been tracing my father's ancestry (Garzilli), because his grandparents had six sons, and we used to have large family reunions when I was a child. I am in the process of trying to find out who all the descendants are of Nunzio (?)-(not 100% certain if that was his name) & Irene Garzilli, who sent all their sons to Argentina, and then four of them migrated to the United States (The Bronx in New York City). Because I knew something of the background, it's been easier to track them. However, I know very little about the Peteccas. I hardly knew my grandfather because he moved to California when I was about one years old, and I only met him breifly after that as a young adult.

Yes, we are Italian. My grandfather, whose name was Silvio Petecca, came over here in the early 1920s. He was a musician and a tailor, or so I've been told. I believe he was from San Martino. His sister's name was Mary. There seem to be very few Peteccas around. Only three are registered on the death index, and two of those are my grandparents. Any information about the Peteccas would greatly be appreciated. Does the name have any meaning?

I was visiting one of my aunt's recently, and I found out that Joseph Petecca was the name of one of my grandfather's cousins who were living here. He had two sons, I believe (one was also a Joseph) and two daughters. I remember I had heard from a Joseph Petecca a while back, so check over in the Petecca message board for more info. I had looked and looked and someone else in my family found the the lost, lost cousins we knew we had in Canada. I think someone found some numbers by looking them up and just started calling Facchini's in Canada. With I believe 1 call they had some information on who the right Facchini's were.
My parents and some cousins are going to Montreal in a few weeks to meet them in person. Some speak French, but it is very exciting. My Great Grandfather Angelo and his brother Clemente moved to Canada I think in the 1880's or 90's. My Great Granfather went back to Italy and his brother Clemte stayed in Canada. They never kept touch. Angelo was going back to Canada, but his daughter was very ill and he was scared that she may die on the trip to Canada or they would throw her off the boat if she got very ill so nobody else would get sick. Anyhow, we now have found them, it's very exciting.
My Great Grandfather was from Northern Italy, Modena. The smal mountian town is St. Anna spelled wrong here.
Many Italians moved to this small town just north from Chicago, that's where we are. All this time and our long lost relatives were just above us in Montreal.
