He was born in 1894 in Neidorf, Germany. I do not know where or when he immigrated, but he ended up in St. Paul, Minnesota. He married Bertha Drude(1906) and had 7 children:Irene(1925), Roy(1927), Walter(1929), Howard(1931), Alice(1932), Lawrence(1933), and Janice(1937).
