I am wondering have we connections. I am looking at my great grandfather family. They were Fahertys and lived in and around Clifden. There is rumour one wetn to America.

My ggggrandfather was Dan Faherty, his son Michael(1803 - 1875), his son Dan(1834 - 1919), his son Daniel Louis. Daniel Louis sisters were Ellen and Elizabeth May. (Ellen was my grandmother). They had land to the east of Clifden (Tullyvoheen) and on Omey Island. My ggrandfather Dan was a teacher in Calla and Derrygimlagh.

Its said my ggrandfather Dan may have had a sister that went to America?
