I am seeking information on my grandfather John Peter Faherty, born in Bloomington, Md. [so the family says] on 11 sept, 1857. I have not found his civil birth, but he was the first child christened at St. Peter's Church, Westernport, Maryland on 13 sept, 1857. His father John Faherty and mother Ellen Faherty are listed as the parents, but in the 1860 census, Ellen, her daughter Ellen and John Peter show up with no father listed. I have never found John, and loose track of where John Peter goes until 1888 when he marries Anna Loretta Cribbens in Pennsylvania.
