My family came from the Connemara area of County Galway. As of the 1901 and 1911 Ireland census records, my g-g-grandparents lived in Lettershanbally, the Ballynakill parish. They were Philip and Anne Walsh Faherty. They lived there with their sons Thomas and Martin, daughter-in-law (first Bridget Kerrigan, then Mary ?), and grandchildren. Most of their children had already immigrated to the U.S. by 1901: Patrick, Philip, Peter, and Stephen, as well as Bridget, Sarah, and Mary. Anything sound familiar?
