Hi Francesco,
I would be extremely interested in learning more about the Failla history about the Kings and Baron Ventimiglia. I'm starting to suspect I may be researching a line of this part of the family. I have two separate Failla families who are both from Castelbuono, or rather my girlfriend does.
One is Antonio Failla, married to Antonia, and born about 1872 in Castelbuono. Another is Onofrio Failla, married to Esposita Piraino, and born about 1854 in Castelbuono. With the second family, they were apparently the first, or among the first, to have electricity in their home in Castelbuono.
They had a town and country house. At least one was described as a villa. They had electricity in both houses. Esposita was supposedly a contessa from Savoy and might have had royal connections. I would also really appreciate it if anyone can help with finding out anything about these two families.
Onofrio was going to the U.S. to stay with his brother, Antonio, but I don't know whether or not it might be this Antonio. I would also like to find out Antonia's info including a maiden name. I think it might be Abbate, but I can't be sure. These families seems pretty tough to learn about.
